Was gonna get mine engraved until I clicked on a link on the Apple store that said engraving will nullify the warranty if you need an exchange or replacement. Uhh.. no thank you!

No not true.
You still get your warranty. What is does say is that if you buy and get it engrave you can't return it if you changed your mind.
i.e. no return and refund.
