If you are getting the "Update Apple ID Phone Number" notification and it locks your settings app, do the following...

Close the settings app from the app switcher. Then go back into settings and turn off iMessage and FaceTime. Now, go into your Apple ID in the settings app, then password and security, and then edit trusted number. Just press add number and put your current one. You should get a text code, and because of iOS 12, it should auto fill the code for you. Then you just accept it and the message will go away. Then you can turn iMessage and facetime back on. That’s what worked for me!
Thanks x 100,000,000

Have iMessages (and texts) been darker at the bottom? Meaning the iMessages I sent on the screen slowly deepen in color (more blue at the very bottom).
Welcome to iOS 7, haha

Hopefully this is a feature. If I'm reading it right, music continues to play when one AirPod is removed but pauses when both are removed? I sure hope so.

I wish Apple would make it easier for people to manage their cellular data usage. A start and end date for the data period. A spot to put your data limit and some notifications and warnings to help deter using too much data

Weather widget works fine on my iPhone X and I didn’t have to set up my screentime settings again. A new screentime splash screen appeared but my settings / limits were still there.

Typically how long will Beta 1 last or expire?. I’m not sure about updating t beta 2 just now.
Yeah, I wouldn't knowing what I know now... super buggy compared to beta 1. Beta 1 almost seemed as good as a release to me, now they've gone and buggered beta 2. My guess is we'll see an update Thursday. At least, I hope so.

Man this Apple Watch install is taking a while to complete after my iPhone tells me it's "finished" installing. Meaning I've been on the Apple Loading wheel for about 30-40 minutes now. I now it's still completing it as the wheel is moving, it's just a sloooooooow one. :)

Next time turn off Bluetooth before updating, forcing the update to be done over Wi-fi... waaaay quicker!

You are saying that you had a beta update that completely made your device permanently inoperable and then another one that did the same thing essentially to another device?
Beta means you as the user accept all risks involved with using a product that is not released. If you want safe and support, wait for the release. If you are impatient and want to use unfinished software, no one is forcing you and you assume the consequences of all that might happen.

so far, I haven't noticed any major flaws in B2 rather nice to see SMSs have been fixed. UI and fonts & colour looks to be more darker and clear.

i hope they make car play more stable and reliable. the music app crashes all the time for me and forces me to disconnect and reconnect the phone for it to reinitialize. looking forward to being able to use waze and google maps on car play. i really tried to like apple maps but the map lacks detail while on car play. doesnt show street names, only a few that are irrelevant to the route.

Ha, never even noticed it to be so obvious as it is now.

No idea why this could be, but Siri on my HomePod has been absolutely useless since downloading iOS 12 beta 2. She takes forever, saying things like “just a moment” and never actually answers the questions (weather, time, set an alarm, etc.)

Also, CarPlay is super buggy in this beta. Worked great with beta 1. I have a 2017 Honda Civic Touring sedan. CarPlay will connect, but if my screen in my car changes at all (I switch to Honda’s home page, my blinker turns on and Lane Watch comes on, etc.), CarPlay is disconnected immediately and I have to reconnect the phone.

Oh and I’m also getting that Apple ID phone number bug that’s been reported.

What does that have to do with me? Perhaps you meant to quote a different post?

Beta 2 is working better for me than Beta 1. I was having a lot of problems with FaceTime and making phone calls in general. I do wish that I had not installed iOS 12 because there really isn't much there anyway and it's not very stable.
