UPDATE:

In IOS 13.2
You can now control media, but you still can't turn the TV on or Off. Sigh...

It's ok man, most people on here and on reddit don't understand homekit scene integration and shortcuts etc.
I know exactly what you are talking about.

You are after this functionality and UI to be under the Home app and not the shortcuts.

To all the people that say you can do this with shortcuts now, you are wrong.
The functionality is not the same.
To do this on a shortcut you require it to be a Personal automation which has the trigger automation limitations (that fact that they are actually not automatic and require user approval to run!)

Home automations are REAL automations that can run at given times or changes to the environment without any user input.

I want to turn off my Apple TV when i leave home via a GPS trigger.
Currently i can turn off all my home appliances, lights automatically. However, since i need to use a shortcut to turn off the Apple TV, i can't get this to run automatically and include it in my "Leaving Home" Home automation. To clarify again, my "Leaving Home" automation scene runs with no user input and is not a Personal automation.

I also want to start a Welcome Home scene that turns on lights based on the time of day and GPS arrival trigger. I currently have this working for lights etc, however i want it to start a music playlist on arrival. Again something i can't do with the current implementation.

Here's more on the functionality that has since been removed.

Read above and look at the article.
You used to be able to turn on and off the Apple TV without using shortcuts.
The Apple TV was actually a selectable item when you create a new scene.
From there you could toggle it's power state as well as set a playlist.

Thank you!
Btw. I have now found a workaround with personal automations, however, the notifications from the shortcuts app are killing me - showing up multiple times a day.
I wanted to turn notifications off, but shortcuts isn‘t even listed?
Can I trigger it somehow to show up in order to turn them off?

I would be happy if Apple kept everything the same for a year if they spent all their resources on bringing Siri up to speed with Google assistant (GA), and god forbid, make it better that GA. Siri is useless garbage, not worthy of the price tag they sell it for.

Of course I am. Plenty of leaks have come that way. And of course it's obvious that if that's just a "place holder" icon and they turn out to be different I'll be glad, but for now; I don't like them at all.

Also, there's another photo leak that matches that design.

Just me ? What happened to "hey siri, what's my next appointment" or "Hey Siri, what are my appointments this morning?" from the lock screen? in ios 12 was fine, but in ios 13, you get "You'll need to unlock your iphone first". Where was that change documented?

Holy battery drain on this beta! Granted I’m using an iPhone 8, but still. Took it off the charger 6 hours ago and I’m already down to 4% with moderate use. Usually at this point I still have 75% or more

It’s not there for me as well. What is going wrong with Apple?
What fixed it for me was, like others have said, forget the Airpods, and re-pair. If it doesn't work at first, try again. I fixed mine this way.

So 13.1.2 I am looking at my phone and my Outlook on my laptop. All emails sent today aren't on my iPhone. If I search for from: (person) the email comes up in search then when I go back to my inbox the email is in the list. I had to do it for each sender one at a time.

Please tell me 13.2 has done something with Exchange. This is getting ridiculous.

Yes I have deleted and re-added my exchange account. No I don't care how perfect its been for your exchange account. These are production emails I am missing running a production build of iOS.

Get it together Apple.....

How many people in these forums complained about Exchange issues throughout the iOS 13 beta track and had tickets open with the Feedback app.....

Couldn't have said it better myself! Mail syncing between devices is very very inconsistent.

How much does Siri cost?

Well, its bundled with hardware that is WAY more expensive than the competition. But if you want to see a clear difference is between a google home mini and the apple homepod. One does way more, the other does far less. And its the far less one in capability that costs far more.

Not really interested in comparing the capabilities as Siri suits me fine. However the op quoted implied some cost associated with Siri to the end-user independent of the hardware so I was wondering about it.

If you mean the one that does far less spying and has an overall less intrusive attitude regarding privacy is the one that costs more, I'm fine with that.

I have everything appear and checked in settings, but it seems not to be working I get no announcements or messages read by Siri.. anyone else having this issue?

Still no airplay 2 speakers / apple TV in homekit automations / scenes?
For me, it appears I can set up a homekit automation to play music when I arrive home, for example. Will have to test. (maybe when wife is not home)

I usually don’t complain about bugs but so far iOS 13 is piece of junk. Native apps especially, Safari, Mail, Notes are all a bug filled mess.
