How would you find them? Just through search?

i used to hide my hook up apps on a 3rd page of a random uninteresting folder but now those app icons show up super big in „social media“ in the App Library section. I don’t like it. If I deactivate an app from Siri Search for example, it also shouldn’t appear in App Library in my opinion

How about Apple just lets us pick our own specific dark mode wallpapers .....

I think an iOS 13 beta of Shortcuts allowed a rule to change Wallpapers, but it was removed before iOS 13 final. I submitted a feature request to add it back to iOS 14.

The Apps is not another home screen with folders. It is tied to the app search engine. You don’t have to hardly look at the app library or use it. It isn’t a big deal.

i don’t want certain apps to appear let alone as part of social media! You can’t trust people these days. Always snooping. Especially once Apps Library makes it’s rounds among tech handicapped people too

Back Tap finally available in iOS 14 beta 7 on iPhone 8. First seen only once in iOS 14 beta 1.

Spatial Audio -> Follow Phone is usable now, but not useful yet, probably waiting for corresponding AirPods Pro FW update.

Apple today seeded the seventh betas of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 to developers for testing purposes, updating and refining the features included in the software.

As the beta testing period progresses, changes get smaller and less notable, but the seventh beta still has a few new features that are worth mentioning, such as dark mode options for some wallpapers. We've listed what's new in the seventh beta of iOS 14 below.

- Dark Mode Rainbow Wallpapers - The existing rainbow stripe wallpaper options now feature Dark Mode settings as well as standard light mode settings. You can't select the darker wallpaper by default, though, and it only activates when Dark Mode is on.

- Tweaked App Library Categories - Apple has changed the categories in the App Library. Options now include Social, Utilities, Productivity & Finance, Information & Reading, Creativity, Other, Health & Fitness, Shopping & Food, Entertainment, Travel, Games, Arcade, and Education.

- AirPods Banner - When connecting AirPods or AirPods Pro to an iPhone or iPad in beta 6, there was an error that caused incorrect text to be displayed. That appears to be fixed in beta 7.

Know of any other changes in ‌‌iOS 14‌‌ beta 7 that we didn't list here? Let us know in the comments and we'll add them.

what i want to know is why app icons arent able to adapt to the system appearance as well

I agree it's imperative to have the ability to hide an app from view. For anyone who had a separate page or folder, with apps hidden in it, now a person can just flick for the app library and see a full list. Very counter intuitive for privacy.

Seems to be the thing I'm watching for with each update: Do pinned text conversations finally stay pinned?

Update: They do not...

Anyone know if in the default mail app if you select edit of you can slide down the left hand side to select multiple emails? I know in the early public beta’s you couldn’t

They have that now.. it's called "Folders"
Actually they don't. Folders hold 9 apps per page and have little icons. The App Library works much better and puts all the "folders" onto one scrollable page. Each library or folder in the library has 3 quick hit apps that rotate on usage, and a fourth collection that takes you into that "folder". And what is great about that "folder" is that if the apps in it take more than a screen/page, you can scroll that too. It is a great interface. I just only wish we had control over the organization of the library "folders".

I don't use folders anymore. I have my home screens laid out as:

Page 1 - News and Suggested apps
Page 2 - 8 Apps I use a lot and 2 small and 1 medium widget in a layout I like.
Page 3 - 6 rows (24) apps that I like to have handy and use a fair amount. Again no folders.

Then the app library for anything else I need to get to. I did take everything out of my folders and put each folder which in the past was sometimes more than one 9 apps per folder page into separate home screen pages 4-8. But I have those pages hidden, and have found the App Library works well.

The new App Library categories are a lot better, there's still refining to be done I imagine but it's progress!

I see people want the ability to customise it, but that would defeat the purpose of it being a library, and not a variation on the home screen.

Why’s the wallpaper even a thing people are fussing over?

What stops y’all from just making your own?
As far as I know, the ability for a wallpaper to change depending on light mode or dark mode is exclusive to Apple-provided wallpapers. It’s not something someone can just make.

So.....
Apple now believes deleting user music Library playlist on iPad is acceptable. Next step? Remove Apple Music functionality on iPad?
I’ll wait.

Unfortunately Apple does not think that way. Who knows what kind of people their tin foil hat imagines, or what kind of user they are expecting.
