Set wallpaper is very low list on my priorities for what I would want a settings icon quick action to be used for. I would rather have it activate the personal hotspot.
Agreed, but what if the user could just choose which quick actions they want for each app in Settings? That would take the whole feature to the next level.

I noticed some were saying that Night Shift wasn't available on their older iPad. Has anyone noticed if Night Shift is available on the iPad Air 1?

EDIT: Just read that it will be available for any iOS device with a 64-bit processor.

I'm trying out f.lux for the first time on my mac, and it's...different. Does it get easier to adjust to? Want to be ready to go when 9.3 comes out :p

I got a bit lost with Night Shift feature. Are they referring to the colors of the screen that a person will see if he/she uses the iphone right before going to sleep ?

Very excited for Night Shift since Flux (and biteSMS) were the only two reasons I jailbreak. When is public beta available?

It will definitely take some getting used to. You can also adjust 3400k to 4000k in preferences. I have mine set to custom 4800k because the 3000k tints are too yellow for me.

I've used it for a long time, and it certainly is different in the beginning. I had to adjust the colours to my taste though. Found the default settings to be a bit dark

I adjusted it to 2200k, and that seems like a pretty nice spot. The original setting was way too yellow. I do like it so far!

Are notes finally being time stamped when they are created and not changing each time you edit one? This is so annoying as it is now, creating a note and having to enter the time and date for reference. The note is time stamped now, however once you edit the note the new edit time stamp becomes the actual time and date of that particular note and then bumps it to the top as last edited. Then when you look at the note and try to recall when it was made, good luck guessing. To me it's like listening to a time stamped voicemail, then after its played it takes on the new time and date of when you last played it, that is lame and not sure why they made notes do this. Hopefully it's fixed or at least a feature is added to enable or disable static time stamps.

It would be nice to make a note and have the created date and time now show in the header, but be an option if you want it to show static time stamps as part of a note if you were to say share it, or convert to a PDF for email attachment for sharing, embedding or opening with another app for editing. Then if you edit the note the time stamp remains the same but depending on how you have the settings it would either stay on top as last edited or move back in line with ascending, descending or whatever order is selected in settings.

You can actually add the password to Notes. It is on a note-by-note basis! Simply go to an existing note, tape the share sheet, and hit password protect note.

This lets you choose a password, a hint, and enable Touch ID.

This is alone is a pretty awesome feature

Night Shift is gonna be a freakin sanity saver for me! And password protected notes is nice, but can we get it for other stock apps like photos, etc

Seems iBooks now can upload your PDFs and ePubs to iCloud from iOS (and I'm guessing 10.11.4).
I wish apple just purchased good reader and integrated it with ibooks. the pro features could be user defined, thus keeping the simplistic UI for the masses, but giving one the option to easily turn on the pro features, akin to good reader, all with Icloud integration.

Curious how they used an almost empty battery in the "Battery" Quick Action icon.

Anyone think this will drop to the public tomorrow?
Well, if you wanted to do something around "battery" or power usage it would be more than likely when your battery is running low. More than likely the primary use case for this option is to bring you to Low Power Mode option.

Also, Let's hope it drops tomorrow, this one looks worth it for many reasons.

OMG What a joke about Night Shift. After all these years of denying apps with the same code. They should've had this in iOS 7. I guess it takes 3 years for the new Apple to believe customers. I think Steve would've had this in iOS 7 because he was really into making the device an extension of our lives with as little negative physiological impact as possible.
OMG What a joke. Invoking the dead man over a delay of two major OS versions. Let him rest!

I wonder why not? If that's the case, I'll stay jailbroken with F.lux since it works perfectly on my iPad 4.

Edit: Just read that it's for 64 bit devices, hmmm.

Probably because they're starting to phasing out support for 32 bit devices.
Ipad 2 not getting IOS 10 for sure, same thing for the 4s.
The Ipad 4 will get IOS 10, but won't get many it's features from now on and won't get IOS 11.
The 5, 5c will also not get anything past IOS 10.

IOS 11 is when all is 64 bit accross all devices that run it; 4 years after Apple launched the A7.

People can store things like passwords or credit card numbers or other sensitive information in notes that they typically don't use and store in photos or emails or messages.
few people will store sensitive info in a note verses Message or email a friend or family member bank, social, password, address, etc info... I've done it, my best friend and I share accounts on varies services. The user/pass has been texted.

Apple isn't a charity. You paid your "free" updates at the checkout, months ago.

Had this discussion with somebody many posts ago, so what amount of the phone purchase price should I
consider included as the upgrade pricing?

And, how often should I apply that amount to my initial purchase price of the iPhone?

My 4S started at iOS 6 (Don't remember exactly, could have been 5)

Since then I got 7, 8 and iOS 9, which I didn't pay ANYTHING for.
