Yeah! Apple store is down. I wonder what's next...

If it's an iPod update, I hope the have a software updater for the old ones too that add any functions the new ones have that the old ones are capable of.

the itunes update, macrumors tentively mentions as April seems like the likely time for AAC (and ogg????) update for ipod...

though this is my #1 wish for iPod...

the only thing that brings me hope is the recent update to quicktime gove a lot of now options forr MP4. (though still only 320x240 video)

Why don't you just get a $99 PDA? If you can afford a 1ghz DP PowerMac and an iPod, then surely you can find the cash for a small PDA. The iPod would be a horrible PDA because it lacks the user input functions that a PDA would require. Inputing text using that scroll wheel would take days...

Hopefully the iPod updates will come today or tomorrow. I think that we will see lower prices and maybe a 40 GB. But if we were to get a 40 GB, I think that the 5 GB would be discontinued.

Because I wanted to get a newton, and i also dont want to have to carry around 2 things when i can carry one. My roommate has a sony clie which is both an mp3 player and a pda. Apple could just boost the screen size a bit and there ya go.

when you go to the xServe and xServe RAID pages, are there image places at the top below the tabs that don't have images?

Pure Speculation...

This is pure speculation.

Since Apple has been changing the rules on when they announce updates, is there a chance they'll do two updates the same week?
