What's next? OS 10.6 or OS XI?

Hear, Hear, but 11.4 "Sloth" is about a bad an idea as the earlier zodiac-themed "cancer." Naming your operating system after an animal synonymous with slow is probably not going to market well. Also, isn't that one of the deadly sins... if memory of "Se7en" serves... Poor Gwyneth.
 
History has shown there has never been a point release higher than seven. I believe Apple took System 7 all the way to 7.7. There was going to be a System 8.6, but later became System 9.

Also, the reason System 10 uses a Roman numeral is because it represents, obviously, the number ten, but also Unix. It was a coincidence, but worked to Apple's advantage. Also, it stood out. Even though it's just System 10 of the Mac OS, the "Mac OS X" branding shows that it's a completely new code base. If it was just "Mac OS 10," people would assume it was just as limited as OS 9 was.

He also said the G4 iMac set up Apple for the next decade, and yet it lasted all of two years.

Maybe they should keep away from animal names? 😕
idk, maybe interstellar bodies and a space theme?
OS XI 1.0.0: Cosmos
1.2.0: Orion
1.3.0: Galaxy
1.4.0: Aurora
and so on. It would be a complete revamp of OS X: not that I can find anything wrong with it, but maybe :apple: can?
