I clean my dryer's filter out every time I use the machine!

We have to clean out the filter in our dryer every time run it.

What’s on my mind?

Besides mom, who I hope got some good news from doctor, setting up my MacBook Air so I can buy Affinity Publisher and start learning it. So relieved this computer business is over.

Also happy I could still get a 2017 MBA with a larger drive.

Yes, actually, as do I, (or, as did the carer when she was with us).

My washer and dryer are a stacked pair, with the dryer being on top and so the filter slot is pretty much right at eye level, which makes it easy to remember to pull out the filter and clean it out after I’ve done the two or three loads I usually do at a time.

Kazmac, congratulations on the new MBA! Enjoy!

External access? Ours is internal, and by that I mean the rim of the door. A few times a year I'll use a thin snake hose to suck in any dust bunnies that accumulate and pose a hazard.

When the door is open to my dryer the filter slot/filter itself are just in front of the actual dryer interior into which I throw my right-out-of-the-washer clothes to be tossed and tumbled and eventually dried.... Can't miss it, which is very helpful for remembering that I need to pull out the filter and get rid of any lint that has accumulated..... It's a separate filter that easily pulls out of the slot and I can either simply wipe the lint off with a tissue or briefly run it under the kitchen faucet, then I replace the filter into its slot in the dryer and we're done until the next time to do laundry!

That said, my full-sized stackable Maytag washer and dryer are circa 1994, which is when I moved into this condo apartment and bought them, had them installed to replace the original "apartment size" stackable units that had come with the condo. No idea of where the filter slot/filter tray is located in a current dryer these days, come to think of it. I know washers and dryers have changed significantly since 1994! For some reason, the builder of these condo units wasn't really anticipating that in the future, washers and dryers might become larger in overall dimensions than they were back then when these units were first built, which was around 1984, and this has already been problematic for neighbors who have had to put in a new W/D set and figure out how to cram them into what is really a rather tiny closet area! I am hoping that my Maytags last as long as I am living here in this condo unit, and well, then after I sell and move, the new buyer can worry about how to fit a current-generation 2019 or later washer and dryer into the limited space in the designated area!

My sore neck. Saw the chiropractor yesterday and she said it was the worst she had seen it.

Will load up with painkillers before I head to work and try and do lots of my stretches.
Hopefully the shower helps.

You have a lot of stressful stuff right on your plate (in your life) right now, so I am not terribly surprised that it is manifesting itself in this way.

Also, AFB, you've been doing a lot of physical stuff around the house, including painting, and that, too, undoubtedly has affected your neck! Sorting through stuff, putting stuff in boxes, lugging heavy boxes around.....all of that is going to take a physical toll along with the other stress. Hang in there!

Stretches, thumbs up. Have you considered meditation? I have no clue if that would help you, but it is known to reduce stress.
Sitting here this evening and I don’t think I’ve done any since this morning! Better rectify that now.

Very true. Not much more to do now really.

Just started officially planning the execution of something I've wanted to do for who knows how long. A cross country roadtrip through the USA. Obviously still a ton to do, sort out, figure out etc., but it's a start and I'm not in that much of a rush.

Been thinking a lot lately of unrealized dreams, how short life really is and how suddenly it all can end. There should be more to it than grinding away every day, even if it's a job / life you happen to like; personally I want to live, not just exist.

Got a new swim suit. Why is it that when you buy online, many times you don't get an option for a different size top and bottom if it's sold as a set? I get the reasoning but the bottoms alone were around the same price as the set.

1) Don't forget to visit Snoqualmie, WA
2) Don't forget to post many pics!

Just watched the huge brawl that left an individual seriously injured after a bunch of parents began fighting on the baseball field because a 13yo umpire made a controversial call in a game played by 7yo coed kids.

A CNN opinion ("The real lesson of idiot parents brawling over 13-year-old ump's call") shares my view, that is that parents are to f- involved with their kids' sports. It's almost insane. That is one of the reasons I removed both my kids from team sports. The parents are often bullies or total jerks that have to schedule everything and get pissed if their kid loses. No wonder that kids are going towards online videogames, where parents have little or no real control.

I go topless!

:eek:You're so scandalous. :D

Tell me about unrealized dreams and how suddenly life can end. That's awesome you're going to do this.

Me, I just want to eventually more of get my writing out there, and now dabble in graphic design with Affinity Publisher. The need to create is still strong, but the desire is strike while it's hot, which is annoying as heck to me, but...

Next month it'll be a year that I almost died, and I did some things I wanted to do, but not everything. So I can relate to your post in a big way.

I hope everyone is having a nice Friday.

50* and raining for the last 10 hours straight without stoppage. Fun. On the other hand, weather services and their radar don't show anything in the sky for that time period and nothing for the next six hours.

You'd think with pot being legal in that state now the parents could have a puff or two each night and mellow out.
