70F degrees last couple of days but overnight lost 40 degrees
will not get above 32F today
rain snow mix

this is not as bad as it may seem; we always need the moisture

Beautiful sunny evening here to. Spring is a nice time of year. Lighter evenings, birds singing and flowers everywhere. Happy days.

It's rainy here. Gloomy.

My apartment complex just changed owners and I'm not sure this is a good thing. Life is changing a lot right now. I sure hope there is silver lining.

Well it’s good for the flowers! Have a nice cup of tea and the world will seem much better. That’s what I always do.

Rummaging in the cupboards today for a spare jar of French thyme and encountered a glass jar with some packeted teas in it that I was given at Christmastime... "Christmas Morning" black and green tea, some orange spice black tea, and something called "tisane et thé noir maté au noir au caramel salé" -- yeah, salted caramel tea. Of course I had to give that last one a try. It's not bad!

Have to say I’ve never come across a salted caramel tea. Might have to look that one up!

Love salted caramel, (that "hit" of sweet and salty is one I have long loved - something I had never articulated, still less, even realised, as a child, - from my childhood adoration of butterscotch and shortbread biscuits, but liking little else by way of sweet things to eat, to my adult craving for Parma ham, and satay sauce....), but I must admit that I have never, ever, heard of, let alone tasted, salted caramel tea.

It was nice to go out and catch some fresh air and sunshine, even though all I did was walk to my mailbox kiosk and retrieve my (junk) mail, then walk around a little and check the progress of our tulips -- we now have three in bloom and the others on the way, but it is so windy that there was no point in retrieving the camera and trying to capture them today. Also checked out the budding azaleas in front of my building and the building next door. More flowers on the way soon! Hopefully it won't be as windy tomorrow.....

Same here with the wind. Hopefully an opportunity arises over the weekend.

Went for a jog at the park yesterday. Six... SIX... effin' SIX smokers walking on the trails, two of which with kids. I am not the violent type but I never felt such a strong urge to own a flamethrower.

I can sympathise.

Personally, I cannot abide cigarette smoke, and had an epiphany around a quarter of a century ago, when I realised that you can still describe yourself as a sort of liberal while absolutely, completely, utterly and totally prohibiting anyone from even thinking of lighting up a cigarette in your home or personal space.

Windy here too as Spring tries once again to roll in. This afternoon I saw a pair of mourning doves scouting around for stuff to eat and grasses to continue building their nest out back somewhere. They were comical because every time they turned to face away from the wind I could see their feathers instantly getting ruffled. They'd startle and half take off, then land and turn around again to face the wind, then crane their necks around to be able to preen their feathers. But when they'd got all smoothed out, they'd once again turn away from the wind... Rinse, repeat. They were like free TV really... quite entertaining.

The birds are often our favourite channel.

For someone like me that pays close attention to detail, and my environment, I was rather blindsided yesterday. I certainly did not see that coming. Oddly, still playing out the whole thing in my head today. And, I even checked to make sure it was not an April Fool's joke...

When we go to McDonald's and order fries, inevitably, we always drop some between the seats of our horseless carriages.

Weeks or months, maybe even a few years go by until we get around to doing a deep clean of the carriage and get under and between the seats to find the lost fries. It's fairly common knowledge that the fries we dropped months ago look exactly the same as they did the day they were purchased at the drive-thru.

Our solar system takes about 230 million years to orbit the Milky Way Galaxy, by swinging on the spiral, at about 514,495 mph.

If I dropped some fries between the seats of a spaceship just before launch, would they still look the same after I ride the spiral to the end?

Books.

Certain specific books.

And whether an online version (which I can easily access) or the lovely version between leather covers (which I cannot find - I have three rooms with shelves of books, sofas giving birth to books, sturdy boxes full of books, a bedroom table with two tottering piles of books....) would be preferable to read.

Plus, an odd - but strangely comforting - dream last night.

Must be off my rocker to consider making a pitcher of pina colada to sip on all night until morning.
Oh goodie. More drunken posts from you to look forward to this evening! Keep em coming. We all need some entertainment at the moment!

You mean they aren’t all sorted by ISBN number? My illusion of you is shattered!
