Morning time with some great coffee, but then switched over to a Mimosa :D Had the rest of the Kringle (if you're wondering: https://www.ohdanishbakery.com)

Last night we dropped off food for the neighbors, they're always bringing us fresh fish (and I raid their industrial ice maker).

Fire pit again last night too, so fun, playing music from the ATV/AVR from our phones, amazing sunset too, could see it from the western deck (hahaha, what part of that is done ...)

The deck is currently in foul weather mode, pillows in (weatherproof, but still ...), things lowered, secured, etc., supposed to be really nasty.

The ham is the local grocery's natural premium, it's lightly smoked, but we still "cool" it, she does a good rub down with a couple of mustards, then with some delicious local honey, sticks in a goodly amount of cloves, then bakes at a low heat for a good while. She also blends up this brown sugar glaze, ginger (has a nice bite to it), a little OJ, more (ground) cloves, cinnamon - starts basting it close to the end of the cook, it's a spiral cut so it really gets down into the meaty goodness :D It was literally falling off the bone (I had to toothpick it together for the last 30 minutes, hahahah :D

Mac salad, is just macaroni noodles, mayo, onion, celery, a few dry seasonings (salt, pepper, etc.), super simple, but just a classic that goes great with a ham. The Mac and Cheese is pretty terrific, again, macaroni noodles, but it's the cheese sauce that of course is the star :) Several cheeses grated (there was a small cheese mountain on the counter), a bit of milk +and+ sour cream, but the kicker is a can of condensed cheese soup. The latter makes it super creamy and keep it creamy (just cheese will clump and get chunky, solid again). When it starts, it looks like a globby mess, but after it's all blended, holy smokes, you get this (just after, the noodles go in - just after that I go in with a giant spoon, hahahaha :D)

I made greens too, base of a little olive oil, garlic, onion, then several cups of water, some dry seasonings (I like a little hit of chili powder, pepper), and to make the broth richer, I love using Better Than Bouillon, bring to a boil, greens in for 5 minutes, drop it to low heat, cover, 20-25 minutes later, amazing, I like them slightly firmer (people tend to overcook them).
That ham looks amazing. If only the internet did smell!

Thanks.

My math could be better, but just reading some art books and the use of math for placement reminds me exactly why I gave up web design (CSS drove me to tears).

I'll try some other techniques for now, but that just frustrates me.

All else is good, but reading that bummed me out.
People tend to be good at the creative side of the math side. Easier to learn math than try and lean to be creative in my opinion.
Stick with it.

Has anyone else ever realised that the thunderbirds all have weird contraptions to transport them to their ships, because it means less dealing with the damn puppet strings?

And have you noticed that with TB3 (thunderbird not thunderbolt) the couch they travel on to get into the ship, goes with them, into space.

Also what’s the story with the flip down palm trees? I’ve cut down palm trees (amongst other things) and they don’t strike me as the “flip down, flip up, keep on growing” kind of tree. Maybe if they’d used bamboo, I could see it working.

Does anyone notice your internet connection dropping and immediately resetting about once a day? I wonder if this is due to higher internet usage associated with COVID-19 stay at home protocols?

Mine is running fine. The only thing I've noticed are the Arch Linux repositories are slower than normal.

Nope. I'd call your ISP and have them roll a truck out. Sounds like there's noise in your line causing signal issues.

I can't help but noticed this is being ignored.

Is this a conspiracy? Watch it yourself:

Look at 7m19s: THEY'RE ON A COUCH IN A ROCKET SHIP. I also can't believe that they made sure the floor of their living room matches the floor in the rocket ship, so that the piece of floor that goes with the couch matches at both ends.

Hahaha, amazing post, and yes, that green couch is IN SPACE.

I guess, hey, we're in space, we want to watch TV, where do we sit? SPACE COUCH.

I also love that a replacement couch pops back up in the original staging room / HQ :D

And travels back up to it, at the same time the first is coming down! They had a 3-storey hydraulic lift for a couch, that also somehow moves horizontally by about 6' to match the position of the last one.

That's the real engineering marvel of the show - we have real rockets and people in space (perhaps not on a couch, with high-heel boots) submarines (and not rocket submarines though) but no one has a 3-storey couch-lift!

Giving Tor a try as my daily driver web browser. I have Firefox locked down as far as I can, but I want to see how my workflow in Firefox translates into Tor and how much inconvenience I end up with.

Also, giving KeepassXC another try over LastPass.

Sunday we played this (over Zoom) with the ILs in PA:

Yes, we own an excellent condition, fully functional Dark Tower game :D Played with the in-house drinking rules, hahaha that made the later Zoom chat a little off-the-chain :D

There is terrible voice acting in Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Don't even have a PS to play and don't really want to get one just for one game :(

A old dungeons and dragons type game, Hasbro?
I don't remember the name, but I remember this cool D&D Board game with like six different sections of difficulty. You could be different classes and monsters had different strengths and weaknesses. You had to find so much treasure and get back to start to win.
