Thing is I was off Monday. So really it was a short week. But it didn’t feel like it!I hear you, and echo your sentiments.

Hope the job situation works out for you.Seems like job interview with my previous employer this Wednesday, as our department was unceremoniously outsourced to prior employer yesterday.
Since I worked with outsourcing company and may be the cheapest employee on the payroll, I may be rehired for present job. There is no ETA to return to the sites I worked at prior to March.
Cancelled most of my remaining vacation time.
If I vanish for awhile, this is why.

Yes.Always something going on with the job front, eh? Good luck to you on Wednesday, Kazmac! Since you had worked with this employer previously, and are a known entity, that definitely should be a big "plus" in your favor!
That is so nice of them and him to do this! Saves you having to get a taxi or take the bus!
Sounds like dinner is sorted then. We ate very early as Mrs AFB got confused about the time after preparing the vegetables and cooked early. So we had griddled chicken and vegetable with rice noodles at about quarter past four.It also meant that I didn't have to confront the gale force winds that were forecast - and the horrid hailstones that weren't! - and, it was also exceptionally kind, not least as - with autumn drawing to a close, and winter beckoning, the hens are laying a lot less, and producing far fewer eggs, than they used to, and that particular stall, the best in the market, is usually sold out of eggs by around 9 a.m..
Anyway, the eggs have arrived, along with some Comte cheese (a door stopper of a wedge), some pâté, artisan bacon rashers, and duck confit that the cheesemonger kindly added to the brown paper bag.

Well, that I can well imagine; after all, it is getting dark a lot earlier than it used to.
Sorry to hear that. Yes our clocks went back last weekend.Do you have something similar to daylight savings time?
I am not looking forward to the hour change on Sunday here.
On another note, I need to fast again. It seems to be my only way to get relief from my constant pain. It's going to be far more difficult with my husband on night shift and my anxiety ramped up to an 11/10.

In my experience ask for a raise if you can show you have taken on extra responsibility. Or offer to take on extra responsibility or duties. If it is wise to ask for a raise in these times... I'm in IT and companies want specialized skill sets before looking at soft skills.
No I don't get them myself but I have heard some people saying it's worth it in the end for them tooWhat’s on my mind this past week is possibly deciding on getting allergy injections. My allergies have been bad since childhood, I’ve outgrown a lot of it but now my main trigger is dust.. and since I’ve been working from home lately, it’s gotten worse.. also medication has not been helping at all and I think I’m going to pull the trigger and get allergy shots. I don’t mind needles at all, but I don’t know why I’m nervous about it. Anyone ever had to get them before or are getting them now?
