I’ve never had to request a copy yet. It’s been 22 years so I’m probably ok with the one we have on file. I’m not really sure what I would need to show a copy of it for?
I believe it's mostly if you need to prove a name change. My wife needed it to update her passport.

I may be simple minded, or old, but... I am still impressed that the iphone 7 home button is static. That tactile vibration, I can't believe everyone brushed it off including Apple.

This is like Sci-Fi tech for me...

Here I was staring at a screen when the reality is that the home button wasn't actually a button yet functioned perfectly as one!

*Sigh* Pot smoking neighbors...😡

Had to text our landlord about this, as the daily blasts of pot stench coming from our kitchen sink was too much (and after I caught myself mid-mistake at work this morning, I had it). The family downstairs gave up on complaining about the basement pothead (though I think they are smoking it now too).

If we have to buy air purifiers I will ask our landlord to bill the guilty tenants. Neither he or we should be paying for this crap especially since he told everyone in the house, NO pot smoking. I do not wish anything bad on people, but when you're making me physically sick and I become very, very irritable immediately after smelling that crap, I am not going to stand for this. I really wish we could move, but mom is not in a position to do so. I've had it with New York honestly (Never thought I'd say that, but this neighborhood etc. is just not viable anymore.)

/RANT off

Noticed the Blue Jays are very cranky lately too. :p

Sympathies and commiserations.

As someone who is violently allergic to pot (even more allergic than I am to nicotine, which is an utterly disgusting drug), you have my complete sympathy.

When people smoke (anything) they should either be in a single-family home or outside.

My husband and I had to get a hotel once at our old apartment. The people below us smoked cannabis and it made my husband ill. He's very sensitive to it. Which in his line of work can be a real nuisance.

I'm not a fan of smoking anything inside. It ruins your paint, leaves lingering smells, and overall just seems very unsanitary.

Even in a single family home, these days, I'm not fan.

Outside, yes, but, even there, I prefer not to have to inhale either nicotine or pot.

I agree with both of you, HOWEVER I must say that there is something romantic in smoking a pipe while sipping some whiskey while reading some good, hardcover book. I don't smoke, but I must admit, there is something romantic about it.

This makes me envision a beautiful outdoor day room with ventilation and a fire place for the winter. Cozy chair or a hammock. Screened in to avoid those colossal mosquitos.

How are you feeling?

Sorry about your husband. I am the same.

@Scepticalscribe right there with you too.

Agree about not smoking anything inside. I’ve already heard pothead in her car twice today. I will wait on contacting the landlord again for a few days to see if this is rectified.

That I have to keep running tabs on this is just draining.

Well, at least my work week is over. Off until Tuesday.

Hope everyone is okay.

Enjoy your days off. I really should be catching up on some work tonight, but my aching body and pounding head makes me think bed is a better option. In fact that’s where I’m heading now.

My father used to smoke a pipe, so I suppose I have a sort of sentimental attachment to the idea (as opposed to the reality, as one's olfactory senses responded) of pipe-smoking.

Fortunately, in latter years, he acceded to family requests, and confined his pipe to outdoors (in summer), sitting and reading, (and yes, sipping either red wine or whiskey), or, the kitchen in winter (when the evening meal had finished, and he was about to embark on the washing up).

I'm hanging in here. Husband is now on 6PM to 6AM shift, so last night was the first night of this. I had this weird little moment of what I can only describe as separation anxiety.

Yeah, having to deal with your landlord all the time is a headache. Our new building owners have let this place go to crap. It was originally luxury townhomes but they have just changed the name, that's it. They leave the gates open, we've started having burglaries and vehicle vandalism. Added into ever increasing water bills because people use the water tap in our emergency doors and we're all allocated.

We're ready to get that manufactured home out in the country yesterday.

The weather here is so insane, I can't tell which season we're in!

FWIW, the trackpads on MacBooks are still haptic only. It's really cool because they take it one step further with certain apps; in QuickTime, pressing down harder on the fast forward or rewind buttons will trigger a second, third, and fourth click to signal the user that it's scrubbing faster.
I didn't know that, so the trackpad is just a solid area? Its amazing, I can't believe its not really getting pushed down. I wonder if it works for a complete keyboard like that.

Second and third guessing how much priority we should put on moving "back home", where there's a pretty good chance the police are highly unlikely to just make up false narratives about events, for the sake of reduced paperwork and/or the chance of a bribe.
