Ok on my way to my medical appointment saw more helicopters and all were Swiss army types. So I guess my interpretation of the photo was wrong.

Glad your enjoying your job. I think I’ve lost count of how many iPads you’ve returned now. Have you considered another product? Wacom cintiq for example? Might give you what you need.
I’m the Apple unofficial tester of the iPad and heat induced wonkiness. It’s ridiculous at this point. Think I’m finally ready to learn traditional drawing techniques before I jump into a Wacom (only because a Wacom means learning software like Corel Painter and I like drawing anywhere I want, do not want to be tethered to a computer. Also, I’ve seen complaints about Wacom tablets heating up too. A fave comic artist of mine had his Wacom overheat and he put it into the freezer - I’m not going there).

Are there Procreate user forums? If yes, have you come across others who have the same iPad heat and other problems you have seemingly experienced on every iPad you have purchased over the past few years?
Yes there are. It’s not just in Procreate though, gave the M1 a second chance due to the patch that Procreate released for the M1, but I’m back to the stuttering and unresponding Screen and pencil, so the extra ram and the patch mean zip when the iPad overheats. Procreate’s developers cannot figure this out. This M1 overheats when I’m typing responses like this too and not doing anything else. I’m convinced it’s a serious design flaw since there’s no cooling solution built into the iPads. This M1 also has garbage speakers, nothing like the previous iPad Pros. So back to the Air …Thanks though.

The rational thing to do would be to walk away…at least Best Buy honored the price match, so the Air isn’t full price.

I keeping trying the iPads because making digital art is helping me cope with real life, and it’s opened up some wonderful doors recently too.

I hope everyone is doing okay here and wish you all a great day. Thanks for the suggestions etc.

Along the lines of what @cosmichobo said once I have inventing movie scenarios/fantasies involving the meeting of Putin/Biden tomorrow involving lots of explosions and starring, besides yours truly, many of my favourite personalities.

Last post from me about this past week's Biden-Putin summit, a youtube channel I follow called GVA spotter regularly films the comings and goings at the Geneva airport including diplomatic, private (think those used by Gulf monarchs or Russian oligarchs) etc.

So here is Air Force One landing this past Tuesday (skip to 1:42).

This is exciting, isn't it, seeing news reports each day of the results of the various trials as the US selects our team to represent us in the different sports. Having had that what must have seemed an interminable year's delay this time has really heightened the importance of these games to both our athletes and the folks at home cheering them on..... Not just in the US -- along with the usual challenges faced by the athletes, these traditional and historic games take on new and meaningful significance of a sort that none of us in countries around the world have ever seen before.

The upcoming Summer Games in Tokyo will definitely be different for so many reasons but I think that at this point yes, more-or-less we're all ready and that truly the whole world really needs this now. We've been through a previously unimaginable and unfathomable, not to mention devastating year-plus-some-months filled with disease, death and destruction..... It all seemed to hit us so fast, too.

OK, so right now we are still not out of the woods with this thing but vaccines are helping and so it is time to continue slowly emerging on a world-wide as well as a country-wide basis from the whole COVID-19 nightmare into seeing and experiencing something really positive again that we can all celebrate.

I had planned on attending the Summer Games, staying with former Japanese UN mates, but that is not to be.

I still can't wear regular glasses. So I'm thinking of trying contact lenses. Perhaps colored ones. My DL doesn't have any restriction but I can tell my vision is getting worse. I'll fail the next eye exam.

I bet it’s got lots of other cool features your old car didn’t.
Oh. I still have my Yaris. It doesn't have the sport button but it's still more fun to drive than the Corolla iM. I don't know why but I'm pretty much convinced I'll never enjoy a car like I do my garage queen.

A major upset in the men's 800-meter race! Brazier was the hands-down favorite and didn't even make the team!

The women's 5,000-meter race is about to start.

Sounds as though things are looking up for you financially -- having two cars -- the Yaris and now this Corolla (and perhaps there are three cars if your husband has his own vehicle, too), plus you now considering purchasing and wearing contact lenses. Of course the latter will have some ongoing costs even if insurance covers the bulk of the payment for the eye exam, the prescription and the original pair, especially if one purchases the kind which are replaced periodically.

What is the issue with wearing regular glasses? Something physical with regard to them fitting properly on your face or on/over your ears? That is definitely a situation with which most people with various craniofacial syndromes need to deal, and sometimes contact lenses can be a solution but not always.

My husband has an old truck but it kept breaking down. So we got this car as a way to avoid him depending on my Yaris. His truck isn't even in his name, so we've only technically got two cars.

We originally were hoping for a house but we're gonna wait this ridiculous market out. So the car took first priority.

Financially we're still the same but that's because I'm rarely seeing doctors anymore. They blow me off and chiropractic care hasn't helped one spot. I think I might be like this for life. I have to just deal.

Glasses make me nauseous. Like motion sickness. I'll give it days but I can barely walk, much less drive with them on. A full week and I was vomiting by evening.

If you get coloured ones, also get a set with one eye light blue and the other a deep green.
Swap them occasionally and see people do a double-take.

I couldn’t wear contacts if my life depended on it. Far to many issue with eyes for me! I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to eyes.
Oh me too! There’s no way I’m putting those little things into my eyes. I’ve spent many hours helping friends search for contacts that have popped out onto the floor (or the ground outside), or listened to stories about contacts getting stuck. Eww, just gives me the willies. I did get Lasik in both eyes in 2007 and it’s still going strong, and have only needed to wear over-the-counter readers since then.

If glasses make you nauseous, then it is likely that contact lenses will do the same. First off, though, be sure your prescription is correct, as that could be what is causing the problem. A too-powerful prescription can be problematic, as can a too-weak one. Both cause extra stress on the eyes. Of course it may take a little adjustment when one gets a new prescription, especially if it is a little more powerful than the previous one. Also there is definitely an adjustment period when being prescribed bifocals or trifocals for the first time!

Sometimes if someone uses one of those franchise outfits or an online place to provide optician services, the lenses may not have been properly ground in the first place or the measurements may be inaccurate when it comes to distance between the eyes and specific visual points.

Many ophthalmology practices have an affiliated optician service right in or near their offices, which can not only be more convenient for the patient at the time but also can be a good resource if there is something not right, as both the optician and the original prescribing ophthalmologist are right there.

I'd take the glasses back to wherever you got them and explain your difficulties, and/or visit your ophthalmologist again and talk with him or her about the problems. It is not good to have that kind of response to glasses when you are in need of visual correction.

You know, I watch a lot of anime. I always thought it would be cool too get two pairs of contacts and wear one of each. Heterochromia always looks so awesome to me.

Most of the nausea comes from when I look outside the glasses. Like when I try to use my peripheral vision in traffic. Any time I manage to look somewhere that isn't straight on, this happens. That's why I thought trying contacts might help this.

Stream of thought plus writing in a foreign language. Heck though my spoken French is quite fluent even after all this time I need to take time to write anything other than a short text - so often even in semi-official situations just write in English which is fine in Geneva.
