Ah yes, I forgot. Toronto. Well then, it must truly be a "world" championship! But kind of a self-centered tradition, IMO. I get annoyed with the F vs C situation because my spouse is European, and I have to go through the conversion all the time (that I can never remember).

We can thank @rpmurray for starting this linguistics discussion over maths!

When I was at school, I remember wondering why Americans wrote "Math" instead of "maths" (which I had always assumed was a contraction of the word "mathematics").

It struck me as strange.

Well, a 13 pro will be a big upgrade from my 7 plus. :) Never leaving MacOs but of course YMMV. The Garmin watch sounds really cool though.

I've been working with an orthopedic surgeon and physical therapy for a hand problem. Surgery went extremely well and has been fairly pain free even without pain meds. I suffered more from the headache after the second Pfizer shot at this point, lol.

But being underweight is no fun, hopefully things will improve for you.

Karma is definitely real!

Recently had a closure of a karmic meeting. Not close though, but still disturbing.
Always nice to see the end of those! 😅
My take on karma is that there's a huge difference between feelings and emotions.
I know I am seeing or dealing with karma when things/people gets very emotional and upset. Communication is usually not very good either because of that.
With feelings without the emotional factor, communication, encounters, events can still be calm and centred anyway. It doesn't run deep in same way that karmic events do.
Karma hooks up with some past or future thread. Far away or close.
My short take on it ☺️

Also speaking of the above kitty.
She started to put on a little extra around the tummy. I said that we had a Size 9 kitty in a Size 7 pelt.
I found a simple way to put her on a diet.
I started to give her food that was perfectly good, but she didn't like as much. So she started eating less. She is nearly down to where she should be. Apart from the glares she gave me when I fed her.

What's on my mind? I have been wondering lately about the mindset of people who get into conspiracy theories. I mean the very far-out ones like flat earth, and that money is a psyop. To be honest, I think a good chunk of the ones encountered on YouTube and Discord are trolls. There are some, however, who seem to believe this stuff is true. Leave it to me to add something strange to the thread. LOL!
