Moving into the new home today. I'm really hurting from the Neurectomy on Tuesday afternoon. It's been insane since I was already weak. I had no idea scooping out necrotic muscle, nerves, and any fat would hurt ten times more than any other pain. I guess because I got so weak before my diagnosis. Better stairs and a garage are our next project. Eventually a back patio to observe the stars. Such a big universe.

Y'all I really hope you're having a way better time. I'm 87 lbs or 39.463 kilograms. I'm fighting for everything.

Best wishes! Sorry you're going through all of this. Hopefully the surgery will improve your situation!

Most all of us know suffering in various areas and depths I believe....it's part of the human existence. We all handle it and our growth differently.
I don't feel sorry for the suffering and pain I've experienced. I feel grateful for how my consciousness and awareness have been transformed.

"We have the tendency to run away from suffering and to look for happiness. But, in fact, if you have not suffered, you have no chance to experience real happiness."
-Thich Nhat Hahn

"The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths."
-Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

"We are healed from suffering only by experiencing it to the full."
-Marcel Proust

Wish you speedy recovery in your new home, and hope everything gets better from now on!

Sitting here wondering why the CEO is not sacking employees for not performing their duties. Thus, simply allowing them to do what they want to or feel like doing.

And, this is despite having concrete evidence showing certain employees are simply not up to the task.
Odd, just very odd...

Best of luck with both your new home, and - above all - your health. Hope the recovery goes well. Take care and remember to be kind to yourself.

Gosh yes! That file. If they put them all together, I think we could smash a tiny building or two. I swear once you get surgery once, you end up always in the medical system for something. I'm sorry. That all sounds painful.

I also found that when you go in for one thing, you get screened for all possible other things. I think it's so you don't die on them from something else while you are in their care.
So I go in for a knee, and they find that a parathyroid is acting up and needs to be removed.
Later I go in for mild arrhythmia, and they find that my kidneys aren't up to scratch. They get tested ok, but now they want to poke around other (gentlemanly) bits.
Honestly, it's as if they go around looking for work. Don't they have enough to do already?

The more I think about one two things might happen in near future! There is ton of Intel only software being sold right now and no Universal or better! There is date fast approaching that developers will have go bye bye or buy a Mac mini recompile the software at least Universal! That last Intel Mac Pro will replaced this Fall!

Yes, I used to work for a company that made medical software that only ran on PowerPC under Classic Mac System.
They refused to re-compile to Intel under OS X, saying that "Apple would never let that happen...".
Apple did. The company no longer exists.

PS, I had to get a new job.

So we went to a party last night. The wedding of the child of some friends. This may have contributed to the state of confusion this morning.

I woke up. Bedside clock said one time. Other clocks in the house say the same time.
However, those clocks connect to the Internet (TV, computer, phones) said another time.
It only took me about an hour and only one cup of coffee to realise that some fool government agency had fiddled with the time on the Internet. Some idiot thing about daylight saving ending.

Why can't they leave the time alone. It's not as if they don't have anything else to do...

PS, somebody forgot to fix the Kittie's Tummy Time. She is firmly convinced that it is Dinner time, when she really has to wait for another hour. Does anybody know where the reset button is for Kittie Tummy Time?

I have a love-hate relationship with my 2020 i5 MacBook Air, sometimes I look at it with contempt like it's a piece of garbage, other times I love it; but, mostly, I'm working really hard on myself, telling me that "No! You don't need the M1 Air!" and "No! You don't want the 14 inch Pro!".

Sometimes I think it would have been great if, instead of computers, I had fell in love with something less expensive.

Not sure why exactly. But, I am seriously considering slowly moving to using one monitor, versus two.
After all, we all used to do it before...

I could advise fountain pens. However, when I look at my collection, even though most are less than $50*, it would probably be cheaper to stick with computers...

* The problem with inexpensive pens is that it is so easy to press the "Buy" button on a new pretty-pretty. Before long you find that your collections is worth more than you ever thought it could be. The only thing that saves me is that my wife's collection of yarns for knitting and crocheting is worth more than my collection of inks...

My temporary solution is having and old or inexpensive laptop and trying different Linux distributions for fun. Computers can still be less expensive than vinyl LPs and ancient books and manuscripts.

Although, it can be fun buying ancient books before they become ancient. I have several books that I was able to buy when they were $2.50 ~ $10, and are now worth several hundred dollars each.
The problem is the rest of the 98% of the books that I bought at the time that haven't appreciated...

The problem with owning books is moving! Got rid of loads I decided I was done with before we moved.

I'm a strange breed, even if they don't go up in value, I'd just buy things that I find interesting.

And storage! You need to store them so that the paper stays in good condition.

Not to mention the stuff, books or what have you, that you got rid of and are now rare. I wonder how much that old TRS-80 model my folks had from the early 80s that was sold at a yard sale when they moved to Ontario from BC.
