My homeopath just changed an appointment for the 3rd time. Not his fault - open chest surgery and then they found some other things so 3 surgeries total. Just hope he's OK and the 4th appointment time holds.

Rapid barometer changes; ouch.

Good luck with it.
I've often wondered how much the weather affects us without us being really aware of it. The teachers I know have always said that particularly with infants and juniors even when they're inside and out of the weather they struggle with them on stormy changeable days.

Just try to herd kiddies when the wind is blowing. And cats. And some adults...
Somebody once told me it's summat to do with positive ions. Well, if they are so positive, why do they have such a negative effect on behavior, that's what I'd like to know?

Ha ha - very good. Apparently there's nothing worse than having a school inspection (OFSTED here in the UK) on a windy day...

I don’t know about science, but I can tell you that when it’s cold (defined as less than 15C/60F) my patience and happiness is directly proportional to the temperature.
It's the annoying wind chill. It's 55F today and it's great outside with no coat until the wind blows. Anywhere from like 50-80 is so dependant on wind and cloud cover.

We are the opposite. She always feels cold and me warm.
I'm with her; I always feel cold, and have quite an extraordinary tolerance for heat, and warmth, and the brightness that comes when that great golden globe favours us with its presence, especially in spring or summer.

Same. At least our heating is working now. If only I could persuade Mrs AFB to turn it up. When we have it on it’s set to 15 degrees theses days, or 16 if I complain.
Currently wearing 4 layers and fingerless gloves as I’m WFH.
You have my sympathy.

I was on four layers, currently on three; however, my marked preference would be a (much) warmer house......I have no problems with (and much liking for) inside/interior temperatures of around 21-22C.....those were the days.

I’m also not great in heat like we had last summer. Once it gets over 25 I’ve had enough. But Mrs AFB can’t have it hot enough.

I'm with Mrs AFB, - I love heat, as did both of my parents - although, my preferred zone is the entire stretch between 20-30; however, I'm fine - once I acclimatise - with up to mid 30s.

Above that, yes, I will admit to some discomfort, but, even that, I can handle as long as it is not too humid.

Now, the forties, okay: I know my limits. (In my time in Georgia - Caucasus Georgia, that is - summer - from roughly late June to mid August - tended to have temperatures, for weeks on end, that were ranging between 40-44; that meant a very active evening life - Tbilisi, lethargic during the day, was splendidly swinging at night, when the temperatures were a wonderfully balmy 25).

25 all year round would be my goal.

Certainly better than 15!

Glad it’s Friday. No big plans for the weekend. A small pipe repair in the garage. But it’s just the condensation pipe I cut trying to resolve our boiler issues.

Much better than 15, agreed.

No big plans here, either, for the week-end, although I am glad to see lengthening evenings, and have bowls of blood oranges to hand.

A friend of mine's grandfather passed away yesterday. I just wish him the best for him and his family, it's so sad... it made me tear up just writing this. And I just think he's had a tough year in general, so I hope things go in a positive direction from now on. He's been on my mind this morning/afternoon.

I know that weather affects our family in spades: Humid and/or stormy weather: more pain, unpleasant mood shifts, and/or sleepy.

Depends on the person.

Anyway, still alive here. Mom is about the same. I am finally back to job hunting* and am wondering if I should apply for the lower salaried library job at a small art college because ‘art’.

*After the awful last 2.1 months of 2022 which I haven’t mentioned on purpose.

Hope everyone is okay. 🤗

The very best of luck to you - both personally and professionally - and to your mum; I know that it isn't easy.

Take care and remember to try to be kind to yourself.

We had a friend over for dinner, which was lovely, and it turned out to be quite an event, with him staying for over 6 hours, I enjoyed it very much!

How frustrating modern life is when your internet connection is playing up (which ours has been since Tuesday).
We don’t get much of a 4g signal in our house. Just one spot in the corner of the lounge.
Ooof that's tough, on top of a cold house. :( You don't have a wired connection then?
