Which is better? Vanilla or chocolate. I like the indigo followed by the silver.

Given that I'm not a touch-typist and there is no backlighting on the keyboard, I'd find the Indigo's keyboard a bit of a challenge. I'd prefer one of the brighter tones of the other colors.

I'd strongly recommend going into an Apple Store if you have one nearby to see in person. It's subjective.
Personally I went with citrus here and happy with keyboard since I can see the lighter color "contrast" of keys even without backlighting. Was also ready for a change from daily silver over the past years.

The white keyboard on the silver Neo makes it look very different when open, though.
Perhaps I'm nostalgic for the 2006 MacBook (white), or maybe it's because I dislike how black keyboards show their age more after I've used them for a while, but the silver Neo is the one that tempts me to own a MacBook again.

I love yellow and bright blue or purple so Citrus is a natural choice for me.
Glad to see it look more like yellow than goldish yellow.

For those with a light color keyboard, can you see the keys in the dark when the screen is on and illuminating the keys? I am thinking about getting a Neo, but don't touch type so kind of concerned about the lack of backlit KB.

Can I just say I’ve never had any desire to own a laptop, but that blush makes me want one just because. 🤷🏼♀️
I also have old eyes and that is why I picked the Citrus instead of the Indigo. I saw them in store and immediately knew the indigo was not for me. If they would have made the letters either black or a very dark gray instead of the soft gray, it certainly would help. I almost went with silver because of the traditional keyboard, but thought that would be just too boring for this fun device. So, I went citrus. It is hard for me to see keys well but I use dark mode at night so that certainly doesn't help.So using light mode at night might help lighting the screen a bit more. In any event I JUST LOVE this fun device and have ordered a USB plug in light for the keyboard at night. Hope it works out for me. Good luck to you and if you do get one, you are going to love it!

It’s hard to tell. Blush is still listed as “unavailable” at Best Buy, one of the US sellers that will be selling many Neos over time. Citrus is available for pickup or delivery.
But it depends also on the mix of colors in production. If they produced fewer blush units or Best Buy ordered fewer blush units, then it wouldn’t mean blush is the best selling, but we can’t really know.
