I'm 6' 1" tall and have a big butt, therefore I wear size 40 jeans. Unfortunately, stores like Zumiez, Vans, etc don't carry jeans above size 34. I once saw a pair of size 40s at a Lucky Jeans store for like $200, but they looked almost identical to the kinda jeans you see at JCPenney in size 40.

I'm a big fan of comfortable jeans. To me, Levi 501s are skinny jeans. XD They felt fine, but damn...

You know those tripp jeans with all the chains? Unbelievably comfortable but a huge pain to wash. I like Anchorblue jeans, but it's rare that they sell anything nice looking in size 40 (usually they reserve that for the awful denim that looks worse than the stuff you see at Walmart).

I dunno how people with skinny jeans do it either XD

What kills me most about jeans in general is the way they sew the upper bit. I could wear skinny jeans and they'd probably look fine, if the upper bit was executed right. maybe it's because I have a big butt, but the part between the crotch and the waist always seems to be too short and then I have to wear a longer shirt so people don't see my butt when I bend over.

And of course, thanks to the scene kids, shirts that go past my waistline are almost nonexistent these days.

Actually here's my other pet peeve: what's with the tshirts that have almost no sleeves?!

Lol. Funny post. Lots of those stores stop selling clothes at the 36" mark. Some are even 34". Most are over priced too for what you get.

As for shirts - it's weird. You get less but they charge you more now. It's funny.

What get's me - guys that don't buy shirts long enough to cover up their ass crack. Granted, I am all for being natural and stuff but I prefer not to see your ass crack. Not unless you're Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale or a couple other guys. Lol.

Seriously, I was at Target today. Some guy was squatting down looking at cards. I was privied to his ass crack. Buy a bigger shirt please. :p

I have had that happen to me. Gained weight and didn't want to replace my entire wardrobe with a size larger. Also it's funny how shirts will shrink with time, but you don't notice it until some random guy/girl is offering a $ to see your man titties.

Skinny guys should be the only ones allowed to wear skinny jeans. They don't look bad on them at all. I wear them myself, because I'm a skinny person (size 29x30). I don't do it because it's some trend, i solely wear them because they're what i find comfortable and look best in.

I see nothing wrong with this look:

That's tight, but I have seen the legs skin tight. I mean no wrinkles.

They sell some decent surfer clothes etc, but nothing that will fitna grown adult male size. I have the same problem at other youngish clothing stores. I'm 5"10 210 pounds and I'm not fat. I can find a shirt or pants that fit. What's the deal? I feel like I'm stuck shopping at maceys and kohls.

You're going to find it hard to find clothes that fit well. Clothes designers (Wife's a pattern maker) design clothes to fit a 5"10 155 pound guy (runners body type) and then they grade them up and down, once you get a couple of sizes away from the size they design to then the clothes won't fit well.

With tops you'll either be a guy with bulky muscle up top so the shirts will be tight up top but too big around the waist and too long. Or you're overweight and they'll be too big up top but tight around the waist and a bit short.

Pants are the same if you're 210 of muscle you're going to find it hard to get pants that fit over your thighs and aren't too big in the waist and around the leg and if you've overweight then you will find that the waist fits but the pant look a bit oversized.

The problem for designing for 210 pounds is that there's so many body type variations, that's why they design for 155 pound, all 155 pound guys basically have the same body shape.

Same for chicks 5"8 140 pounds is the weight designers design for because that's where there's the least body variation.

155 pound guys can walk into any store and try a medium and it'll fit perfectly every time.

Really? Most of the stuff I try on seems to be made for fairly large sized people, not for a runners body. I'm 6'1", 175 lbs and find smalls in many brands to be too baggy. In order to get clothes that fit, I have to buy designer or younger-geared brands. If I walk into Macy's and try on a dress shirt, even a "slim-fit," it will fit like a bag; however, if I try on a Ben Sherman shirt, Express, or even a Hugo Boss slim-fit, they'll all fit decently. Even when I weighed 155, which was about four years ago now, I could never get anything that fit properly, even size smalls.

I feel that its more like 5'10", 220 lbs is more like the size of guy that can go into a store and find something that fits every time.

I can't wait for the trend to die. I think skinny jeans are revolting. It doesn't help that most of the wearers are often egotistical little wannabes that are under the delusion that they're somehow so fashionable and unique. Oh, kids. :p (and if you're wearing these abominations of fashion and NOT a teen/tweenager then double shame on you!)

There, I've said it.

Yup, I have a lot of the problems you described. I have a very wide chest and the shirts that fit up top tend to be way too long and baggy in the stomach.

Pants for me have always been goofy. I have wide child bearing hips, which is not cool on angry btw. Even being skinny as a rail, the smallest size I could fit in were 36 and the legs were too long and baggy. Now that I am size 38, it's even worse finding pants that fit but are not baggy. Ughh!

Skinny jeans are a sure-fire way to screw your hips up. Restricting the range of motion of any part of your body for fashion purposes is just going to have you throwing your back out at 30 picking up a bag of groceries. Baggy pants sagging down to your knees are fairly destructive too, but the trend of skinny jeans is far more damaging to the biomechanics of the pelvic structure. I can't tell you how many 20-somethings I see taking the stairs on the subway who are a decade away from an entrapment neuropathy and sciatica or a compression of their lumbar discs. Your feet aren't supposed to swing out on 45 degree angles like a duck.

Of course, it means that I'll always have work, so keep 'em on.

Well it isn't racist to say a lot of black (youth) started and continue the trend of baggy jeans. I live in a city with a lot of blacks so demographically it's accurate for me as well. A racist comment would be something that is hatred toward the black race. Here are some black facts that are not racist.

Black people love chicken. Don't ever try and steal a black man chicken or mine for that matter.
Black people do not all like watermelon.
A southern black woman that knows how to cook can cook better than anyone in the world.

Some stereotypes are true whether we like them or not.

Did you know latins have very bad tempers. Ask my wife. :)

Edit: also black people found the fountain of youth years ago. They don't age. Ask Eddie Murphy. He's been 35 for 20 years. This is again fact. One day they may decide to share with us white people I hope. Until then, enjoy aging. :)

You are so stupid! My god I know people like you exist but each time I come across that type of mentality I'm stunted...

a stereotype is wrong, it´s like the meaning of the damm word...

AAAAA, I will not continue this answer...it´s a lost cause.
You know what? I'actualy sorry for you, and more sorry because I Know you ain´t alone...

There, I've said it.

Oh- you would not believe the 30 & 40-something morons who wear these things in Chicago and NYC.

I looooove skinny jeans on guys! :D Providing they have the figure for them.

I'm going to save this quote and show it to you again in ten years.

Have you looked up stereotype in the dictionary? There is nothing wrong with stereotyping or even better generalizing as long as you try not to judge people on those stereotypes.

Around the corner from me is a large neighborhood of Latinos. Most of them are illegal, that's a stereotype, but it's true. If I see one of them outside, I can easily say most likely he's an illegal immigrant. Ooooo am I a racist now? Find someone else to blame your guilt or whatever on. It's not racist to have stereotypes as long as they are not inflammatory. You finger pointing bunch get old. Bet you are sitting there think I hate latinos now, even though my wife and son are Latino and I'm only half white. ;)

I love these posts! The only reason you would post something like this is..

a - What was said is true.
b - You know exactly what the person is talking about.
c - You yourself are part of that "stereotype".
d - You refuse to admit it and get all bent.

Lol. How close am I? Dude, if the shoe fits.. ;)

Anyways - back to pants please. :D
