Trimming ear hairs.

Ear hair is one that has impacted me as well.

A weird feeling is finally being older than most professional athletes. As a kid, they always seemed like they would forever be older than I, but even now I find myself thinking of them as older. Like U.S. Football players, I still can't reconcile that I'm older than most of them, it just seems strange.

Granted I'm only early 30's, but the one moment that was crystalized for me as an "I'm old" moment was at a concert (Pigface) a few years ago. Chris Connelly came out and performed a RevCo song from 1990 and more than half the audience had no idea what it was. The place went dead except for a handful of old-timers that went ape to hear such a classic performed live.

Grey hair.

Er... I know it's about feeling old and that's relative, but to put that into context, perhaps you'd like to tell the forum how old you really are. :p

What's the first thing that made me feel old? I can't remember.

graduating from college last christmas (i'm 22 btw). that makes you feel old fast.

Oooo yes. Suddenly I'm not shopping in River Island but Next. I've applied to a few teaching jobs too so I'll get to educate people who were in my position last year, like I'm some kind of masochist.

When sweatpants moved out of the "white trash" categorization and suddenly became "comfortable to wear sometimes".

Walking into ANY music store. Period.

Not being able to tell when a WELL BUILT girl is 6 years younger than your best guess. (and by consequence feeling creepy afterward) But - they were certainly NOT built like that when I was 15 - and I've got old yearbooks to prove it.

I'm turning 25 on Friday and that makes me feel old. :( I can no longer say that I'm in my "early" twenties or that I "just" graduated from college. Still, I get ID'ed all the time, so I guess I can still pretend for a while longer. ;)

Watching 80's movies also makes me feel old. Those things look like they were made in the 19th century or something.

The fact that 15 years ago, if I wanted to know what was happening in the NFL from the UK, I had to watch teletext or try to tune a longwave radio into Armed Forces Radio where the airwaves were shared by some dodgy opera on a Sunday evening.

Now, I have two games live on TV, another streaming over the internet and a web page with every stat I could wish for...

I'm not sure whether to feel old or just thankful for that technology is moving on.

Aging for men is weird. It's all about "processes" involving your penis.

You know you're becoming an adult when you start getting "special feelings" around your "wee wee."

You know you're getting old when you start getting "special feelings" around your "wee wee" when you go to the toilet and "pee pee."

Ah, another symptom of old age --- losing your memory.

One, but maybe not the first.

Sitting in a coffee shop with a guy I vaguely know as we're both coffee shop regulars of roughly the same age and passing an idle 'compliment' about a young girl who walked in. Who then walks over to us and says "Hi Dad" to the guy. Same coffee shop; a girl walks in and again I note her as very presentable. I few days later she comes in again, this time it's a weekday so she's in her school uniform, didn't change that fact that she was attractive, just made me think "Should I be finding a school girl attractive?:("

"Why don't you have a seat over there..."

my mother telling me she wants to be a grandmother now

hahahaha

When my younger co-workes didn't know who VOLTRON/ or Al Bundy were

How can anybody not know who Al Bundy is? Married With Children has got to be one of the best shows in the history of television. I may be young and didn't grow up with the show, but my DVR records all of the reruns and I watch them all. Al Bundy is a true hero :D

I know what that's like. I picked my brother up from high school once last year and at first I was thinking about how a lot of the girls walking out were pretty hot and I would like to fu....uh, you know, but then I said to myself...."wait a minute, they're like 15! Ewwwww!" Made me feel really old (even though I'm only 21). I remember when I could consider the girls in high school hot without feeling like a pervert :D

I'm thinking about buying an extra cheese slicer. They're always dirty here, despite that we already have three of them. Pretty strange.. ;P

That's a big grown-up sign here in Sweden however. :)

How about realizing that KIDS OF people my age are getting married and having kids.

I'm somewhere in the middle of these extremes... I've been volunteering with youth at a summer camp for 14 years (since I was 15 years old). As a camp counsellor I worked with kids who were anywhere from 9 to 13 years old. Often we became friends and continued to keep in touch.

I'm starting to receive wedding invitations from some of these kids.

Reading this thread, for one..... :p ;)

Other than that, getting married for the second time and finding myself an instant Grandfather...... that hurt (but was cool, too ).... :D

Married with children was/is a great show. So many lessons to be learned from AL Bundy.
