Actually, this was well worth the $7.99 from iTunes. Considering I was going to donate something anyway to the cause, I got some great music, too. What was interesting is that this was put together very quickly, and yet it works very well on many levels. 'Live' recordings with no cheering audiences... classic one take stuff. Some nice covers done here. Understandably, it's a bit melancholy at times... but considering the human tragedy obviously on the minds of all the artists...that's part of the theme here. Highly recommended.

I finally found copies of these two discs to complete my collection from each band:

Spawn Of Possession - Cabinet

Disgorge - Consume The Forsaken

And I picked up a copy of this on vinyl:
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven

Yeah, Spawn is awesome and Disgorge is completely unmatched in terms of brutality, IMO.

If you dig that SoP disc, check out their follow-up, Noctambulant. Way more tech-y, but I think it's the better of the two. And Disgorge's entire catalogue is more than worth checking out (they've got three other albums).

The Duke Spirit - Neptune

I had much higher hopes for it after listening to his mixtapes. I went out and bought this the day it came out... not because I was anxious to get it, I just happened to go to Best Buy that day and decided to cop it. :(

Just purchased this a few days ago. I'm not a huge electronic/dance fan but I really love this album. I bought it using Zune software. :p

Artist: Cut Copy
Album: In Ghost Colours

Picked this up on Wed.... I am loving it.

Me to at 1st i thought that Raymond Herrera not drumming might alter the music but soon as i saw Gene Hoglan behind the kit i knew they picked the right replacement :D . I also picked up the new Throwdown album which is top notch.

I picked up Deathless and I am really liking this band also. I have another one of their albums, can't remember off the top of my head. Haven't listened to it to much do to the FF album. I agree, Gene is freaking killer and it shows. Glad to see Dino back on the strings also..... I am digging Fear Campain and Powershifter alot.
