I've got two month old twin boys, so the new camera is my reason for getting the new iPhone. Hopefully the flash will help low light pictures, and HD Video is sweet. I've always got my phone on me and won't have to run through the house trying to find the camera or camcorder when a baby does something cute. :)

"RUMOR" has it that apples new i4 contains a pull out mirror for self-portraits!! i really like that idea and its actually useful, as opposed of most other gobbledey gook they cram in their motherboards that dont even get used!!! i personally am sick of carrying around a powder case just to use for a self portrait mirror. this change has been a LONG TIME coming and im just glad its here and now.

As a 2G owner, I'd like to say all of the above!

Honestly, I think this is the first major upgrade. Every time a new iPhone came out after the 2G, I felt, does that really warrant a $300 upgrade? I feel with the iPhone 4 the answer is a definite YES. I know 3G owners feel the same.

btw - I'm no Apple fanboy, I have PC everything except for the iPhone. If there was a better phone out there than the iPhone, I'd probably go for it, but in my mind there is no doubt that the iPhone is the best out there. Gotta give them credit for making an awesome device.

It's not my current 2G, and it's not plastic! Really though, for me there really isn't one reason I could name except that it's better than what I currently have.

Overall significant improvement over my current 3G / 16GB which while I love, but has taken a beating in the past year, most notably swimming around a ski lift line for a couple hours until someone found it.

Maybe this new design will still slip into my pocket as easy but not shoot out of my hand like a watermelon seed when it is humid out.

The first thing I remember thinking when I held my 3G for the first time was "it's like trying to hold a wet fish!"

I'm upgrading from a 3G, so my main draw is

  • Speed

I'm also a graphic designer and obsessed with high resolution and quality, so the other key draws are:

  • Retina Display
  • Sleek Design

1.better call reception (hopefully)
2.wireless N (again reception)
3.battery life

So I can use the phone. And not read any of the countless dumb threads started here every 3.1 seconds.

Hey at least it pertains to reality meaning the i4 is right around the corner instead of a totally useless post about the

iPhone coming to Verizon

Who cares about the iPhone and Verizon, my i4 is on AT&T and it works for me, just hope they improve the service for those who have the iPhone and have trouble with AT&T, I would rather see AT&T thrive then Verizon.
