no one mentioned newly designed antenna placement for potentially less dropped calls?

My order:

1) Processor/RAM improvements
2) Camera improvements
3) Awesome screen

There are, of course, other things I love (like the new glass back) but those are the 3 "big ones."

Dual wield microphones.

Gotten pretty disgusted with the other saying 'What?' ten times in a conversation with my 3GS.

I'm not a loudtalker and other phones have been fine. My limbo phone, Motorola L2, has been fine for talking but its obviously missing all the other stuff (like email)

Wirelessly posted (Apple Communication Device: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Resolution and price

I am doing the Nasty and Assuming

The 3GS I have now is not that good, but then there are days it works well, just would be something I hope they would improve since there are so many other improvements on the new i4....Wishfull thinking I guess

what sucked about the 3GS* is that previewing a song using the speakerphone will shake the walls but placing a call on speakerphone is barely louder (seemingly) than not having it on speakerphone and just hearing it come out of the ear speaker.

*My experience on a 3G and two 3GSs

I just like the overall new design. Call me crazy ;)

As far as features go, I guess the screen. I'm really looking forward to that.

I agree and I really hope the speakerphone is improved. It would really come in handy when I spend hours on hold with Verizon trying to get my cable box to work since it seems to break every month.

uhm..... cuz it's newer....

i wasn't going to bother upgrading until i found out hubby rated full subsidy and i rated the +$200... and i kinda like iphones just a little bit....

I think if we were all honest with ourselves, this would be the right answer :p

hehe, for sure. but honestly, i really will like FaceTime too cuz my little brother leaving for college and he will show me all the naked chicks at his football parties to see my wife when I am traveling for work.

I've always wanted to have a gyroscope in my pocket.

Don't take it ice skating and doing all kinds of tricks.

Once you 'wind' that thing up you won't be able to stop. You'll be like that person with the spinning bicycle wheel on the turntable :D

The features I'm most interested in are:

improved battery life

multitasking

Nothing Apple, anyone at Apple, or any reputable source has suggested that the new antenna design will improve reception in any way.

This takes a close second, but battery life is my main issue (using the 3g at the moment).
I feel your battery related pain.

I like how the OP's subject asks for one feature, then proceeds to name six. :p

If anything it would probably be the better battery life.

the hardware upgrade is what sold me:
- faster processor and double the ram of the 3gs
- better camera(s); 720p video, front facing, led flash

Looking for speed. Ever since I updated my 3G with the iOS 3 it slowed my phone down in most areas.

Anything and everything.

My 3G exploded in April and I've been unhappily using my old Moto ever since.
