There is no way I can pick one thing.

The build quality and design are fantastic - so happy to see a return to glass; the Silver/Stainless Steel are a great nod back to the early iPhones. It feels and looks premium.

Face ID is fantastic. I have tested it over the last two days in various lighting conditions, changes (toques, sunglasses, chin tucked in coat) and had no issues. It is so seamless that I don’t even have to think about it.

Size/screen size is great - I have smaller hands and have long held out for a phone similar in size of a 6/7/8 but with a much bigger screen. The is a very comfortable and portable size for me.

I am really enjoying the gestures too, and the interaction, it feels very natural. Not missing a home button at all and indeed when I switch to my iPads I want my X gestures back!

Oh yes, the screen quality, camera, etc are great too!

Someone earlier said they liked that others were “beta testers”. While I don’t agree with their understanding of a beta tester, I can easily say the X is something I have no problem
being an unofficial beta tester for. I seem to recall those same kind of comments when the 3G/3GS, then then 4, then the 5 series came out, all phones which I also got early and was very happy with.

There are complaints every release, every year, or issues here and there, but for me the X is a fantastic device that so far has even exceeded my expectations.

More pocketable. Yes dozens of threads talk about how the screen real estate is smaller and all that I feel that its a nice trade off for it. Big but at the same time small.

Much faster to use and switch apps.

Swipe at a 45 degree angle to the right and you’re back in the app switcher. You don’t need to fiddle with swiping up half way.

Swipe right across the home bar and you’re back to the previous app.

It’s lighter and more convenient to carry around than the + model I had.

It’s the best phone on the market by a mile! iOS is so much slicker and faster to use than android. The hardware of the x is exceptional

This is my take.. Apple is the definition of what good marketing is. Let’s admit it, the iPhone isn’t the best device in the market but Apple can charge a premium price and people will still buy it and I’m one of them.

For years and years I said the old BlackBerry was the perfect size. That size is the same as the iPhone 6/7/8. The perfect screen is on the Plus model. With the X I get the size of a 6/7/8 with the screen size of a Plus.

Fits better in my pockets, car, etc. Scren is big and clear.

I’ve noticed this exactly for me too. I first thought the X was too small. Now I see it’s literally bigger then the plus screen but a little more narrow which makes it easier for one handed usage.

And by far my favorite feature is Face ID. Absolutely amazing and so convenient!

I can’t disagree that Apple is a marketing powerhouse. However, I disagree with the ‘best device’ talk. Personally I did my due diligence and decided that the X is the best device for me, if I was wrong I could return and have kept my 7 or got a Note. I was not wrong, this device is amazing. Isn’t going to be the best for everybody but to say it’s just marketing means it shouldn’t even be in the discussion for the best phone and that is not true.

The thing I like the most is I cannot put it down, why did Apple wait so long for a design change? :)

I was in the Apple store today and compared the 8, 8+, and x. Coming from a 7+ preceded by a 6s+. The 8 is too small for me. The 8+ felt like a brick. The home button felt clunky and outdated. Side by side the x is so much sleeker and the size is perfect. But the winner for me is Face ID.
