I really liked American Gothic and Strange Luck. Usually if I like a show, it makes one or two seasons and that's it. What I find entertaining, others don't seem to.

My wife was once just like this. She became addicted to Homebound (I think that's what it was called) and Earth 2. Both only lasted a season. She didn't fare much better with Party Of Five.

Her luck's changed as of late, though, starting with Lost.

ER. Episode: Love's Labour's Lost.

Last 20 minutes of the show. You can't help but feel for everyone, especially Dr. Green. I didn't have kids nor was with my SO at the time. But now that I am, and having seen that episode once since, it hits home even more.

BL.

The saddest stuff is boat crews dying on Deadliest Catch. Fictional shows don't do anything for me.

Alf:
In the series finale, ALF is about to be rescued by other survivors of his home planet, but is instead captured by the American military, and the viewer is left to ponder ALF's ultimate fate. This was not supposed to be the finale, as the original airing ended on a "To Be Continued" note.
I was just...*sniff* ...so sad...

I don't often get too emotionally invested in shows, but I was pretty sad/mad when they canceled Jericho. I was really into that show and would have loved for it to continue, I felt it was well put together and cast.

When the red sox lose :(

Seriously, I can easily say I've not seen any of the tv shows listed in this thread, with the exception of seeing some futurama, I just don't have the time, energy and desire to watch that stuff. Instead I'll watch some sports or head over to Macrumors :)

One of the most depressing endings of any show I've seen. :(

I can't watch it. It's so depressing it actually pisses me off. I want to grab the writers and say, "look, I love you guys, but this? FFFFFUUUUU"

No amount of "Professor! Lava! Hot!" can make up for that ending.

The end of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Firefly...end of story.

Though Admiral Adama's final fly-around of Galactica then seeing her and the fleet fly into the sun was a tear jerker for me

The Tribute thing they did for lost before the Finale really well put together the ending as well to.

though its not a TV show but the Farewell the NY Rangers gave for Wayne Gretzky when he Retired was another one as well Gretzky is one of my all time fav Hockey Players.

1. Watching Barney get hit by the bus when he was racing to Ted's hospital bed.

2. Some corny scene in Smallville. There were a few corny-yet-emotional spots in the first few seasons. Well, seasons 2-5.

'Band of Brothers' episode 'Why we Fight', the scene when they discover the concentration camp. :(

And yes... Ads.
Yes Band of Brothers with the dicovery of the concentration camp as well and most of the later episodes. The last one though with all the guys interviewing and the story of what they did after the war as well!
Awesome show

I'm not very big on TV, so the only moment I can think of is Lost finale, and maybe when that certain character drowns.

I'll probably cry if Game of Thrones is good and HBO cancels anyway.

Generally, it's when one of the main characters of the show dies or quits. My heart bumped when I saw Ziva living the NCIS so I immediately went to Internet to see did she really quit. Luckily, she did not as she's one of my favorite characters but it was quite terrifying for the moment of ignorance.

Kate dying was sooo sad :(

The Andy Griffith Show episode when Opie kills a momma bird and has to raise the baby birds.*chuckles* Then they grow up and fly away. *sniff-sniff*

Awwwww...

Yeah, that was brutal. I also thought the episode in which Mark Greene died was exceptionally sad and exceptionally well-handled.
