I have no issues with the 15 Pro. I used to buy the larger phones until the XS Max. That phone was a total dud - no connectivity for me. Cellular, WiFi and Bluetooth were all the pits. I tried 2 different phones 6 months apart. Returned both and bought a new X at Best Buy.

The other thing with the Max - just too bulky and heavy for me. I like a phone I can easily carry in my pocket.

At first I had some of the hot phone issues with the 15 Pro. But haven’t had any episodes after the software updates. I use my phone constantly and the battery lasts all day for me.

Happy with this phone so far.

I really don't know anyone who opts for the Pro/Max but skimps on storage.

This girl. I have the 128 pro. I bought a 256 14 pro last year, and never got close to 128. I have 86 gb available of the 128 I have on my pro.

I do offload photos and videos to my Mac every few months because I don’t use cloud for photos, but I have 93 apps on my phone, and still plenty of space.

It's not skimping if you don't need more. Would be throwing money away.

Using 70GB on my 13 Mini and i never clean up.
Heavy cloud user though.
We always check how much storage we're using on our old phones before upgrading. Neither of us was even close to 64GB, so 128 was a big upgrade.

I am in the same boat. I love the 15 Pro!
I had a 14 Pro Deep Purple and I was adamant I did not want to upgrade. But I caved and preordered anyway. I am happy I did so; the ergonomics have drastically improved - the rounded edges make a big difference and the weight loss as well.

I had that same phone! Of course my plan was to go bigger (originally I just thought I’d do a plus phone then I decided on the pro max, and ultimately it was just bigger than I wanted), so I wound up with the regular pro and I am really pleased with it.

I have a Blue 15 Pro 128GB and coming from an iPhone 12 (non-Pro) it's a real nice jump for me. The new camera is amazing (I wasn't unhappy with the 12 either). Battery life is fine for me - I easily get through a normal day for me and I think I've only done an evening charge twice when I was going out for the evening and to be honest I probably didn't need to but did just to be safe. 128GB is fine for me because I use iCloud so photo offloading works fine for me and I have an iPad mini (5th gen, holding out for that elusive 7th gen 😉) which I put my movies etc. on to for watching when I'm away from home. The AOD works nicely for me (though I still haven't got out of the habit of reaching over and pressing the power button to turn the screen off before realising it's in AOD mode and that was "screen off" in reality). I charge using MagSafe and Lamicall stand overnight and really like the Night Mode (mine's set to Automatic with Motion to Wake which works well for me). The Action Button is a nice thing in my opinion, you can read how I'm using it at this forum post. When I'm in the car I use CarPlay and have bought a wireless dongle to add that functionality into my car (I didn't want to have to keep partially charging the phone when it really wasn't necessary). I'm using a Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagSafe case and currently using a JETech screen protector (first two cracked within a week or so of putting them on but this third one is holding much better - I wonder if I mis-aligned them slightly and the case caught them on some small drops I had) but have some other makes on standby for if this one cracks. So far no regrets at all in my 15 Pro 😀

Care to share your wallpaper? It's stunning!
Sure thing. Here you go:

The one and only time I bought a plus/max model was way back in the iPhone 6 days and I returned it. I’ve seen the Max models and tried them out and they were not for me. I prefer the smaller size. Apple makes two sizes for a reason. There is an option for almost everybody, that is unless you’re a Mini person then you’re out of luck.

I read many love letters on the 15PM: How awesome the display is, what an amazing battery life the phone has, that the 5x zoom changes the way we make photos a.s.o.
Almost no-one seems to talk about the 15 Pro. What's wrong with it? Is it the inferior device?
I really like my 15Pro: The size is perfect, I enjoy the native 3x zoom, battery life is good, I can handle it with one hand and it fits in any of my pockets.
Question is: Am I the only one, who really likes his 15Pro?
I love my 15 Pro. My favorite thing is how fast it charges. I do food delivery. With the auto lock set to never and with constant data use from my company and GPS, the 13 mini and the 14 Pro had to be plugged in because MagSafe was not fast enough. But with 15 Pro it actually charges while I’m working. The camera is great, too.

Upgraded to 15 Pro Titanium Blue. It's in a Caudabe Sheath case and is 22 grams lighter than my 14 Pro in the same case. The hardest part for me is NOT using the lighting cable. I have those strategically around the house for my family. But USB-C is nice and versatile.

Aren’t those caudabes weigh in at 40ish grams? Like the design, but never thought that having one puts you into the max territory.

My 15 max I got today in the FW apple case is 15 grams lighter than my 14 pro in a sheath or mous case I have.
The 15 pro would feel like a feather lol

Hi wondering how you find battery life of 15 Pro - I just got one and it’s a great device especially the cameras on it But dry poor battery life Latest software 17.1.1 has not seemed to make much difference yet

How did you set it up? Also, have you adjusted background settings to help with battery life?
I found setting up as new or from iTunes backup helps a lot...
Does setting it up this way improve battery life ?

It only improves if you have a software that is glitched. For example when starting fresh, you might forget to reinstall one of those battery hoagers as facebook, messenger and etc.
Both of our devices were just transferred phone to phone or laptop backup restored: no issues.

Battery on the 15 Pro you should be getting at least 6 hours of daily use without charge coming from a full charge. Try turning off the AOD if you need to increase battery, I don't think I ever bothered to have that on.

The 15 Pro Max will go much longer than this.

I’m not having any issues. I’m coming from a 14 pro, and I don’t find this one much different. I don’t keep always on display on, and I know that makes a difference.

I set it up from backup, but I do this with all my phones, including a 13 mini that I just acquired which seems to have pretty good battery life for a mini. I've gone through plenty of Youtube videos about battery tweaking so I'm not sure there's much else I can tweak. I'm convinced the less than stellar battery is due to the always on display. I get lots of notifications from Outlook, Teams, Eufy, etc. throughout the day and I suspect displaying those on my AOD is dragging down my battery life. My battery went from 80% at 6:30am to 47% at 6:30pm. So down 33% with maybe 30 min of actual usage...most of that browsing the web on cellular. AOD is the main reason I got this phone so I'm not turning it off. It's fine, I can get though a day no problem, I just have to remember to put this phone in low power mode if I'm traveling so I can get a day of use out of it.

If you turn off AOD, then you will get quite significantly more battery life than the 13 mini, if you use your 15 Pro the same way you used your Mini if this makes sense. The 15 Pro has turned out to have the best battery life on any phone i ever owned, including my 8 Plus.
