How’s battery between 15 pro and pro max?

Honestly, I don’t pay a ton of attention to it. I did notice that I had to charge the max less often than I’ve charged phones in the past, but I’m certainly not running out of battery in a day with my pro, and I use my phone a good bit. When I talk on it, it’s almost always on speaker also.

That sounds more like an accurate representation of my screen time that day, since I wasn’t really using my phone a lot.

I wonder why it says “7 hours” under “Screen Active”, though! That’s kinda confusing.

I just watched a YouTube video earlier, and the YouTuber mentioned that screen time isn’t accurate right now.

With that said, I’m still happy with the battery life I got that day.
That graph shows a rolling 24 hour window including while the phone is charging. So you just need the manually total/estimate the bars for the time window you care about.

For me, the Pro is better just for the size alone. It’s annoying that they went back to giving them different cameras than the Max. I thought making them equal was a great move… no idea why they reversed that idea.

I never really understood the hype of the Pro Max untile recently. I originally puirchased the Pro but decied that it didn't feel 'new' enough, so I returned it and went for the Pro Max. Game change is all I can say. Feels like an entirely new experience. I now understand the hype.

I think the Pro is probably popular from people who are coming from a non Pro device or have a real desire not to have a large phone.

The reason why the Pro Max is popular is:

Bigger screen phone = greater value for money

Users on MacRumours used to mock Android Phones for being large. The sentiment completely changed when Apple upsized their phones. We increasingly consume more video than we do photos or text. For videos, a large screen makes consumption glorious.

A plus sized phone also negates the need for an iPad. That's at least in my experience. As soon as I purchased a Max, I used my iPad significantly less and usually only for 30-60min before falling asleep.

I think iPad plus 15P is the perfect combo

I prefer overall the max but don’t like how non pocketable it is. Love the larger keyboard, less mistakes for me. And for work, much easier to get task done on a max.

I Still can’t figure out if i pay the most why do i get such limited, dull, drab, boring colours? Doesn’t more money equate to GREATER choice? Only at Apple

Professional products don’t come in wild colours. Top end vehicles for example don’t come in anything crazy unless you specify it as an option (if available as one) or get it wrapped.

Most high end electronics come in black, silver/grey or white.

This would make sense 5 years ago, but now the pro models are (by far?) the most sold/adopted across most demographics and clearly not just for “pros”. So while the marketing message of “professional colors” makes sense on paper, in reality everyone is now buying the pro devices so just give the people what they want.

Professionals in this context still regularly and often includes Creatives. So probably not limited to those looking for only black/white.

Also, arguably the most “professional” cars, if there was such a concept, are high end sports cars in terms of performance and prestige combined. They are not in drab colors. Ferrari Red, Lamborghini Yellow.

Apple could add in a dash of brighter coloring to the pro line without breaking anything. No one is saying they should stop selling the gray for the 65 year old Wall Street CEO / commando / salesperson (or whatever is the more traditional picture when you think of a “pro”).

They did have purple last year, and have had several blues and greens.

I have personally liked those colors a lot- very elegant. But I don’t think they are the bright/fun colors people often ask for with the pro line. The ones you referenced are still quite muted.

I agree for the most part, but find the blue titanium stunning.

Yeah, but definitely some darker, deeper colors. I had the purple. It was just okay after a while. I tend to stick with basics, although the blue and pink in the regular 15s this year really made me want to get a regular 15 (although I probably couldn’t have chosen between them - lol). I love the yellow as well.

But I got the white titanium pro. When it’s all said and done, I usually go pretty basic.

By a large margin for me, as well. Really disappointing. It feels like it’s not a priority anymore.

With the standby mode and the 80% charging cap, it does seem like they are catering to desk workers who have a Qi charger.
