What kind of pen or pencil do you use most?

I'm a big Pilot fan.

Me too... :D I solely employ Pilot DR's and Hi-Tecpoint V5's and V7's for technical drawing and drafting, these pens are so good that Pilot have seen fit not to even bother changing them (at all) for 20 years. ;) :D

When I was a Graphic Design student I had a tool box full of Magic Markers until Pantone got there act together and dropped the Xylene for their (then) new range of Tria markers.

I prefer the gel style pens. I think they just write smoother. I hate pencils. To me they are just like scratching on a chalkboard. I also have a hobby of making pens out of wood and acrylic. The Wallstreet II pen writes very well as do the gel styles I make. I just made my first $170 pen, but I don't have it for sell yet on my website. I mainly sell to friends and the website is lacking. http://www.pensbyjames.com/pens.html

It is a fun hobby if you have the time.

I'll use anything, but I'm extremely partial to Pilot G-2 pens. Oh, how I love them—they're a lot smoother than anything I'm used to using. Although they do smear if you aren't careful, and me being a southpaw, that's always a problem. But there's no greater reminder for you to lift your hand up and from dragging on the paper than having everything you write smeared horribly and with the side of your hand covered in ink:D .

I really like Caran d'Ache pens from Switzerland. They have a nice 70's look, write well and cost only a few pounds.

oh god, I desperately want a MontBlanc 149.

I NEED a MontBlanc 149!

I have that one but I never use it :D

I tend to use my Montblanc Meisterstuck rollerball and mechanical pencil most of the time, although I'm not really bothered by using any other pen. As long as it isn't empty or leaky I don't really care.
The Montblanc pens are very comfortable but the fillings last ridiculously short and cost something like $9 each. Lucky for me I don't have to write all that much!

I'm a big Pilot fan. My favorite is the Precise Gel 07, but they're never available in our Staples.

I like clicky better than cappy, the caps always seem to get lost...

I like Pilot as well, Cross would be my favorite pen maker.

Have you ever used the 149? If so, how do you like piston fill mechanism? does it leak ink at all?

and, uh, if you want, you could send it to me and I'll throw it away for you :D :D

uni-ball VISION fine

black ink

I buy them 4 at a time and they last me about a month before the degenerates at work thief them.

Pen - I got one from a medical company during on-campus interviews and I love it to bits. Don't know who makes them. It's fat with a foam grip, and the ink comes out smoothly. All the best pens I've tried come as give-aways from companies.

Pencil - Not picky about brand, but I need 0.9mm lead. Anything smaller breaks too often.

What, people still use pens and pencils?

Seeing this made me realise that I hardly write anything without something that is attached to a computer.
I suppose i just prefer it especially as having a combination of Dyspraxia and Dysgraphia make writing with a pen or pencil take about twice as long as 'normal' people.
Paper based writing is a dying art.

The comfort of writing with a Sensa is incomparable. Just great pens and pencils. They use Fischer Space Pen pressurized ink refills so they will write on anything, especially oil from hands.

I personally have both a mechanical and regular ball point in the classic style, crystal color (chrome).

A good friend introduced me to the Sensa classic as a birthday gift. He loves his so much that when he lost it at the bottom of a lake as a result of a plane crash (another interesting story) I bought him a mechanical and ballpoint classic because he kept sighing whenever he saw mine.
