A 5.5" phone, but in the body of a Note5, G4, and other slim Android phones. Not the bezel-monstrosity that is the 6s Plus.

Good point, there's certainly room for a bigger screen vertically.

I'm going to be different and say 5". Just bigger than the 6S but not quite phablet sized.

I can't remember if I had posted in this thread or not...

Personally, a 4 inch iPhone 7 with exact specs to match the 4.7 inch 7 would be amazing. However, a 4 inch 7 looks to be budget friendly and eh...no thank you. I cannot wait for the 7!

4.7 is a nice size but I would LOVE is the made a 5" version. Something between the 6s and 6s+ that would really be ideal for me.

I find the 4.7" to be a hair too small at times, yet perfect in others. I love the 5.5" at times, but overall phone size annoying at others. So for me, perfect would be around 5". However, if they worked miracles with the bezel I would consider the 5.5". Otherwise I will stay with whatever the smaller or mid size ends up being.

I maintain the ideal size for a phone, for me, is the iPhone 6/6s. True, I have the 6s Plus, but it's a compromise. I wanted the improved battery and OIS so I bit the bullet and jumped from my iPhone 6 to the 6s Plus. I was only able to make this adjustment to a phone I always thought was too big because I had adjusted from the 6s to the 6. Baby steps. I'm still considering going back to the 6s but I'm not ready to give up a flawless 6s Plus and the added features that come with the Plus models.

Lots of bezel talk. I'd also love to see the 4.7" screen with less bezel. It would be amazing to see Apple integrate the TouchID into the screen as well, though the physical home button doesn't really bother me much.
Now we're talking! I've been yammering for years about the need to cut down the bezel and go edge-to-edge with the screen, or very nearly so. Bigger screen in a smaller chassis and you're looking at the best of both worlds.

totally agree with you. 6s plus is a compromise indeed. Wish iPhone 7 is going to have nice, edge to edge bezel. Just like the new Dell xps 13 and 15.

The fact that I could easily type and "use" my old iPhone 5 with one hand was a plus. I have to constantly fuddle and adjust my grip to use my iPhone 6 with one hand, and I've dropped my iPhone 6 quite a bit more because of it. If a new iPhone with a 4" screen comes out, that'll be my next one.

A new 4" with a generous 2500 mAh or more battery would rock my world.

I realise now that I can't actually comfortably reach corner to corner even on the 4". However, it feels much safer in my hand since the fulcrum point is much higher up the phone and is less likely to fall out of your grip.

4 inches

will be disappointed if the 6c is true and not a 7 mini

will adapt to a 7 4.7 inch if the 6c or 7 mini is budget friendly, don't want a budget phone

Forget what I said. I visited an Apple store today and absolutely fell in love with the 4.7 inch standard. WTF is wrong with me? lol

I propose that you aren't dropping it more bc of adjusting your grip, but rather because of its smooth, rounded aluminum edges (vs. squared glass ones).

Hey OP: Put a 5-5.2 inch choice in your original post and see what happens
Nope. I didn't want to give every size under the sun. I only wanted to give concrete sizes that have already been done and had actual examples, and I didn't want to give too many choices.

4", I upgraded from 4s to 6s a couple of months ago and I find the larger size irritating and I can't operate it with one hand, mobile devices are becoming more and more mobile-unfriendly, If I wanna have the joy of a large screen I'll opt for a tablet, a phone is supposed to be something that you easily carry around at all times, I'm surprised that most people are pleased by the larger sizes

The bezel size really makes a difference. Other ~5.5" phones are much easier to wield than the plus because of they fit the same size screen in to a physically smaller device.

I think the 6 Plus is a good size. Although maybe it could be a little wider, and less tall. But keep the overall diagonal the same.

It was a little shocking at first, but once you get used to it, it is so much nicer to use compared to the iphone 5 in terms of how efficiently you can browse on it.

With the Apple leather case on, I have found it surprisingly grippy and easy to use one-handed.

It's not 5.5, despite the nice screen and decent battery life. I think 4" would be fine especially since my iPad Mini 4 does most of the heavy lifting, but I'm most likely going to try a 4.7" again now that I have exchange my problematic 5s.

I was surprised how quickly the new size just became "normal" when I went from 5S to 6S plus. Going back, on the other hand... The small ones seem like toys. So tiny.

around 5.

5.5 is nice to use but 6s plus has a huge bezel which i hate especially when compare with s6 edge plus. I sold my 6 for 6s plus, but ended up with 6s, kinda of regret now. Thinking about get a s6 edge plus.
