Everyone comes up with the same reasons for battery degradation. But how about cheapening of the manufacturing to save some bucks and was reported on last year. What about the manufacturer. We were doing that in another thread. I’m Desay and still at 100% one week after launch day and manufactured in August.
I've had Sunwoda in most of my iPhones. My 14 Pro Max is at 103% health. <shrug>.

One thing for sure, I hope all this commotion about battery life encourages Apple to put a bit more health/longevity/juice in these batteries going forward.

MY iPhone 14 Pro is still at 100% and has never changed since the first day of availability. I am not using the phone for games just lots of picture taking, texting and phone calls with light internet usage. I let the battery go down to around 30-40% using my charger to bring it back to 100% using a 20 watt charger. I do use the phone with a wire CarPlay in both my Chevy Equinox and Dodge pickup if it is charged to 100% and I do not drive for a couple days then charge it as I mentioned.

I believe it all depends not he person and I am not to concerned with the battery in the phone. I will probably just keep it for a couple more years as I am on what I call the 3-4 year upgrade cycle.

How many cycles are you on as well?

Mine is a launch 14 Pro, I’m on 425 which seems high.

Can find this out with coconut battery on a Mac, or iMazing tool on windows believe.

Launch day iPhone 14 Pro Max and I have upgraded every year since the 1st iPhone was released. My battery has never depleted this quickly on any previous iPhone. I contacted Apple and was told as long as it's 80% and above it's normal. I was told if it got below 80%, contact Apple and they would send me a replacement overnight.

This is a real problem and Apple should publicly address it instead of telling support agents to follow a script and say that this drop in battery life is normal. It's not normal.

A little over 3 months since my last post in this thread and my 14PM still at 100%:

The only thing I’ve done different with this phone is MagSafe charging since day one. I’ve never used the Lightning port. I really don’t think that’s made any difference, just wanted to point it out.

While I acknowledge that quite a few people are seeing worse battery life with the 14 than they did with the 13. My wife is also seeing the lowest health % than any of the iPhones we've owned (93% - launch day 14 Pro Max).

However, 93/92% within 1 year is well within specs (500 cycles / 80% within 2 years). Apple has always warrantied their batteries this way. So not sure I agree about this being a real problem. It's sad that batteries aren't keeping up with usage/features/hardware.

Also note, batteries should also wear slower the older they get (this is why you can see super old iPhones with ~80% health despite thousands of cycles).

That said, hopefully people raising this (here, YouTube, other Apple sites) encourages Apple to do better with batteries. iPads and MacBooks and Watches have 80% after 1000 cycles, the iPhone should too! https://www.apple.com/batteries/service-and-recycling/

I was at 100% since launch day up until a few weeks ago and it's currently at 93%
Sounds bad, sorry to hear this. So would you say it has basically degraded with around a couple of percent per week since it started? Have you noticed if your phone have been getting very hot the latest? Installed iOS 17?

My iPhone 14 Pro is around eight months old now and it’s still shows 100% battery capacity. I’m expecting the same sudden drop in battery capacity percentage to occur at some point that others are seeing.

Launch day 14 Pro, mainly MagSafe overnight, but also charge in car for CarPlay. Finding myself charging during day more now. Was not planning on upgrading to 15. I wish Apple would address this & offer discounted replacements of battery.

My launch day 14 Pro Max is at 86%. In the last couple of months I have really felt it decline.
Would apple warrant this, or is it just considered normal wear and tear? I do not have AppleCare

launch day now at 88%. I think it’s because the phone is constantly overheating. the worst is when you try to use it while charging.

My launch day Pro just dropped to 99%. Still very good battery life. I charge nightly with a 5w charger.

Beta since it came out and I was using the phone a lot more this past month than I ever did this year so I was charging it a lot more than I was used to.
