Launch day 14 Pro, at 98% since about a month. Was surprised as I think this is the first time I've seen my iPhone drop below 100% in the first year. I sold a launch day 13 Pro last month that was still at 100%.

Launch day 14 Pro. 100% capacity. I use wireless charging via official MagSafe chargers. Probably the lowest it ever gets is 50%.

For some reason my battery health on my launch day 14 Pro has been dropping rapidly in the last month. It was 92% a month ago, now it’s at 87%, 2% was just in the past week alone. No idea what’s going on, I’m not running the betas. I might end up paying the battery service fee because my battery life is starting to take a pretty big hit. I’ll decide in September if I truly can resist upgrading to the 15 Pro.

Similar experience here. Launch day 14P at 93% and gonna start tracking daily because it was at 99% about two months ago.

I would post more detail about charging habits and ambient temps, but honestly those variables shouldn’t have such a big impact on a $1,000+ device

Launch day iPhone 14 Pro. Never ran a beta and always updated iOS. I mostly charge overnight via MagSafe connected to a 20 W adapter all first party.

I thought I was crazy or the only one until I started seeing a lot of other people with this issue. I’ve had every single iPhone on launch day and have never had the battery health change more than a couple percent in that year.
do you know your battery manufacturer?

Launch day 14 Pro here - I was *shocked Pikachu face* yesterday when I saw battery capacity was down to 93% and it‘s down to 92% today?! Something’s not right. (I exclusively charge with the 20W iPad charger every day (non wireless)).

I have a launch day 8 Plus here, heavily used and abused, that sits at 83% lol

75% capacity after a year is completely normal if you are using your phone everyday.. if some people feel like they want the privilege of having a phone that is at 100% capacity, just buy a new iphone every 6 months, it's not that big of a deal.

No it most certainly is not completely normal. Not in 12 months. Nobody can realistically expect 100% after 12 months but 75% is far from normal.

Well I replaced the battery in my 12PM as i am giving it away. Went to the Apple store and they made an appointment (totally unnecessary as you could just leave it). Came back and they had the battery and proceeded to test it even though I just wanted the battery replaced. Then they took photos of it. I suppose some would claim they messed up the phone when they got it back.

Anyway, everyone was surprised I actually wiped the phone - as if that never happened before. Then they told me to come back in four hours.

Came back and the phone was repaired. I was amazed that the screen protector was in one piece, but there were two slight cracks you could only see at an angle so I replaced it anyway.

It’s at 103.5% and made last October so it’s been sitting for awhile.

Anyway the nightmare is over! You would think replacing your battery was like open-heart surgery. People look at the battery health as if it was a life clock. If it gets old just replace it (the battery) and move on. I would replace the battery now so you can’t bitch about it and buy the new iPhone 15 - or is that the plan? Ha!

Mine has now dropped 6% in 2 weeks 😂

Shocking battery life as well, not happy at all compared to the 13 Pro which was a beast.

Unacceptable.

My launch day 14 Pro is now down to 93%. I’m a fairly heavy user and charge overnight on a wireless charger, as well as an Apple USB-C charger that came with my old 11 Pro at work, just to give it a minor boost. When I traded in my 13 Pro last year, it was down to 91%, so my 14 Pro is pretty much in line with that. For what it’s worth, my wife’s launch day 13 Pro is down to 87%. She’s a pretty heavy user as well.

Mine’s 93%, my partner’s is 92%. Both launch day. And both appear to be right around the same mark my old iPhone X and 12 mini were at around this timeframe.

The battery on 2 month old iPhone 14 plus has been degrading at an alarming rate after only 19 cycles. Methinks 16.5.1 has been a dumpster fire or the 14 series has just shipped with dud batteries
A month and 10 cycles later, don't think my 14 Plus is faring too well. Never discharged below 30%, Optimised battery charging enabled, only use a 5W charger, no gaming or social media at all. Coconut Battery says battery was manufactured in Feb 2023.. What gives 🤷‍♂️

Sure but at that rate? Don’t think a 10% loss in capacity after 29 charge cycles can be considered normal by any stretch of the imagination..

What are you smoking? A 10% loss in overall capacity in 3 months is NOT normal. There’s absolutely no way you can spin this into it being normal.
How’s buying a different charger going to get him back the capacity he/she’s lost? The stuff you read here sometimes…

This! I wasn't entirely sure where george88 was going with the charger comment but I'll address that - Have always used an Apple 5W charger with an Apple USB to lightning cable, so both charger and cable are out of question.

Anyway, I did contact Apple support and as expected got nowhere since the battery capacity is still over 80% :)

I think I saw another thread where someone paid for a battery replacement for their 14 pro, so I doubt anyone's going to get a free battery replacement from Apple.
