I'm looking to get the iphone 4s, I am trying to get a genreal idea of how much data people use...

thanks!

EDIT: let me rephrase that..... How much data do you use per month?

Unlimited from AT&T and they will have to take it away from my dead cold hands.....

God how I miss my unlimited plan. Made a boneheaded move this summer that knocked away my unlimited data plan on Verizon.

I tend to use right around 2 GB any more, but if I could use more I would be streaming Pandora all the time which would add up quite a bit.

ATT 4gb with free tethering.

I used to have unlimited with att but lost it switching to spring a year ago. Decided to come back to att because my 3g speeds were hardly speedy, even in several major cities.

I'm honestly not upset about having a 4gb limit. The free tethering is a bonus which actually costs an extra $30 with sprint. I doubt i'll go over the 4gb limit because I tend to use wifi at home and i'm not constantly streaming music all day.

I'm holding onto my AT&T unlimited plan with a vengeance, even though I think the most I've ever downloaded in a month is about 850 MB. Usually it's about 200 MB, LOL.

But you never know when your usage patterns could change...or when a new use for data may arise.

What? No. I switched from ATT unlimited to Sprint. I'm paying less for better service in areas where I work a lot which is LA SF and NYC

It's strange. I keep hearing about people in california not getting good service with ATT. I'm glad I live in the southeast where there are tons of ATT towers and good service.

yeah, when i discovered HBOgo, my data usage sky rocketed.

AT&T unlimited for $30.

I can't believe how many people gave up unlimited for $30 to switch to 2gb a month for $25 just to save $5.

Yeah, 2gb probably didn't seem like much then, but there are apps and features that we can't even imagine yet and they're going to make 2gb's of data a month go really fast and you're going to either choose a higher tiered plan and pay more than you would have for an unlimited plan had you kept it, or just not use your phone very much towards the end of your billing cycle.

I use between 1 and 5gb's a month just doing normal iPhone stuff.

I'm on the AT&T 2 GB plan and I use about 500 MB a month.

My wife is on the AT&T unlimited plan and she uses up to 32 GB a month.

I'm glad att is implementing throttling for users exceeding reasonable usage. This is going to be the number 1 factor that differentiates ATT and Verizon from Sprint.

I personally would rather have faster data speed with a data cap then to have slower data speed due to people using extreme amounts of data.

BTW, I would tell your wife to not hold the phone while using it for that kind of amount of time. WHO released a statement saying people are something like 40% more likely to get cancer from using their phones for 30minutes or more per day.

$30 unlimited AT&T.

How much data? Beats me. I rarely look (since I don't have to worry about it). I think the most since I've had an iPhone has been about 5GB.

2GB/month plan for my wife's 3GS but she only uses around 400MB on average. I signed up for the 2GB plan as well, but doubt I will even use 400MB because I work from home and will be connected to wifi most of the time
