I'm mad as hell

Remember this is not the first time ATT pulled this crap.
The first couple of times, ok, forgive forget. But this is just gross incompetence. They waste our time. Out time is money.

The truth?

Tack on about $100 bucks of my wasted time (That's time + aggravation at incompetence) .I must have tried 10 times over 3 hours.

true cost of phone $200 +$100 =$300

and that's the true cost of it.

Also, The top executives probably snicker at all of this. They reason that it's only these rare occasions that they need this server power, so they don't have adequate resources.They calculate that our misery is a necessary cost of doing business. And we just all take up the ....

I'm just hoping to get the phone when I go. I did a home delivery, but I canceled the order later to sign up for in store reserve. I've never been to an Apple launch, *sigh*, because I don't exactly live close to an Apple store. Buuuuuut I guess we'll see how it goes!


I was mad as **** when it took me five hours, but I'll get over all of that once I'm holding the phone. :D

and you expect apple to say..........what, exactly?

Personally, I just want an estimate as to when we'll be able to get the white iPhone. But if I could get anything more out of that, it'd be something acknowledging the difficulties people had going through preordering.
 
I'm fine. I didn't want the white iPhone, so I was unaffected by the announcement. I pre-ordered at Best Buy, got to the store about half an hour after it opened, and it was completely empty. 3rd person on the list, and I'm pretty much set.

I ordered my black bumper hoping that it would arrive before the iPhone did that way I'd have it protected right away. But the email says it won't ship until the 24th when the new iPhone is shipped. And it won't arrive until sometime between the 25th and 29th. Oh well. I ordered a Zagg invisible shield too, so hopefully that arrives before the new iPhone does.
 
Forgot to add PEEVED: Seriously, what's that stupid $18 charge really for? You're already renewing a two-year contract at guaranteed average of $2400 and you want to snake an extra $18 at the start?

Tried and my order went through on my first attempt when I got home from work. Delivery June 24th.
 
AT&T says it should arrive between June 25 -July 5 so i'm ok
 
I'm fine. I got my order in at 8:45 a.m. yesterday central time. Got my Mom's order in (finally) in the afternoon. We both have 6/24 delivery dates. It's cool. :cool:
 
I'm happy/calm. I knew it was going to be nuts.

Tried like 20 times at work but I'm on a wireless card so I knew I wouldn't have the best connection. Quit that and left work early. Got home, my 4th or 5th attempt around 3PM yesterday, got on and reserved my iPhone. Got confirmation email around 8PM last night. Delivers on 6/24 to my house.

It's all good.
 
I was beyond frustrated yesterday with the pre-ordering. However, I was able to pre-order after going to an AT&T store.
 
I'm very happy and relieved I'm getting one shipped to me on the 24th. I finally got through for about 2 and a half hours of trying. :apple:
 
I didn't have a problem.

I went in to my local AT&T store after lunch with my Daughter and Dad and waited 5 minutes to talk to someone. Took 10-15 minutes to order, had to swipe my card twice for some reason (other person next to me too), but then it went through on the second swipe.

E-mail was sent within 2 hours.
 
In a word....Pissed!

Apple offers the iPhone 4 in two colors, and I pick white. Apple says "they" will be available for pre-order on June 15 and I watch the websites all night to only find out........Pre-orders are now being taken....BUT......White is not available!

Say what you want, but that is one big, fat, FAIL!!!!! Period. If white wasn't going to be available to order on June 15, they should have announced that ahead of time.
I agree.

If they parade the device as being revolutionary, they can't use the "we didn't know it was going to be so popular" defense.

All in all I have faith my BB here in the middle of Wisconsin will be just fine on launch day with black phones.

I'm just glad I got my order in early at the AT&T store. It seems that peoples hellish experiences came from ordering it from AT&T online.
 
i am definitely GLAD I was able to complete the Apple pre-order process after 9 and 1/2 hours of trying since midnight yesterday.

I am angry/PISSED at Apple AND AT&T for not getting this whole pre-order process figured out after the last several new-release-pre-order FIASCOs.
 
I feel good...

Had some friends over who had left around 4:30 am. Laying in bed, I remembered "Oh, yeah! iPhone 4. Wonder if we can pre-order yet..."

Looked at my iPhone and it showed we could. Grabbed my laptop and tried Apple. Didn't work after twenty minutes. Went to wireless.att.com and got it within 5 minutes. Fell asleep.

Woke up later in the day knowing I had the iPhone 4 so all I had to deal with was a hangover.
 
Well I strived to get the first one from Apple. Then I went for two and I just wasn't lucky enough. At this point I was mad. So I ordered the second from AT&T several hours later.

I know the Apple one will be here the 24th since I got my preorder in at around 2AM PST. Hopefully the AT&T gets here on the 24th.
