I am on S0 and want to upgrade badly. There's no way to know but if S4 will be announced in September, i will probably trade in S0 and get S3 now to enjoy benefits and if S4 is truly amazing in september or little later then ill just trade S3 and get S4 as well. VOTE!!!

Traditionally thus far, Apple won’t announce the Series 4 until September with a slated release in mid September or October.

What's wrong with your S0?

Its incredibly slow, even with restore. apps take sometimes almost a minute to launch, third party ones. everything is laggy and delayed by 2-3 seconds after i tap something. forget about using siri. Battery sometimes doesnt last a full busy day. and lastly i want GPS so i can do my runs without my phone and track distance and all the other metrics

Time to get out of that relationship.

I think the current series 3 is doing amazingly well and they will milk that for all its worth before they announce anything new. The series 3 is basically the watch that should have come out initially with all the capabilities that make it a viable device instead of just a very pricey notification machine on your wrist

I'd put money on September either this year or next, they seems to align with iPhone launches now, so makes sense. There is no reason for Apple to launch in March along with the iPads as they don't even pair with them. We will however see new bands launched this month.

FaceTime camera. Maybe not in 4, but eventually.
I don't know how the implementation of that is gonna work although I'm all for it. Actually posted a separate thread in here a few weeks ago asking people to chime in on when a camera would be added to the watch. You would have though I suggested a bazooka to be added. The responses I got were ... "polarizing" :)

Thats Interesting, because in the same thread that you created, you also stated that:

Just to be clear - I have NO VIEWS on adding a camera. I could care less.

So now you’re saying you’re all for a camera and before you were saying you could care less.

I don't think we will get a release this year. I think Apple is still working hard on some of the rumored health add-ons.

I was convinced that Apple wouldn't release an "S3" like they did in September thinking that LTE wasn't good enough. I want to say that I agree with you although I dont' think that the watch itself will have much added health add-ons, especially those that would have to get FDA approval.

Maybe they will put micro-LED for the next iteration and a better energy saving chip? Who knows as this point really.

And tomorrow I could decide I'm against it, ok. What are you, the opinion police? If Apple puts a functional camera in a watch then of course I'm for it, but I don't care if they do or not. Same way I appreciate that there are pizza ordering shoes out there somewhere but don't have even the slightest urge to get them.

That's true. It is all up in the air at this point. If I am proven wrong and there is some technological meat to a new relaase, I will be happy. If not, I am glad to hang onto my 2 AW s3 SS.

I hope so because I'm still at the point where I'm enjoying my AW3 more and more. Next week I take it on its first international flight. Late last month I took it to DC from CA and it did really well - noticed that it uses a bit more battery than usual while traveling (could be me checking it more).

But mostly I hope so because I won't be tempted to upgrade. I really wanna keep the AW3 for awhile. lol.

There are pizza ordering shoes?!

Yea, my watches are less than a year old. It would have to be a big upgrade like Glucose monitoring or heart-related etc. (at least at this point) for me to upgrade in a few months.

I actually think this year for 2018 for the Apple Watch if one does release, will be the biggest year for the Apple Watch yet. The reason I say that is because the last three years Apple Watch has primarily been a progression of the watchOS with Added capabilities, but retaining the same form factor with no hardware advantages other than the water resistance rating.

For the Series 4, I think we will finally see some changes to the hardware, additional casing options/colors, perhaps some different type of bands that will be offered that could take advantage of the diagnostic port, and the monumental improvement would be health related sensor/features.
