The generic ringtone that comes enabled by default. I don't get many calls, and would rather have something normal than an odd ringtone when at work.

How do you know whose phone is ringing if you in a group of people who have iPhones and have never changed this? ;) :)

A clipping from Skank's Mandrake E Os Cubanos. From one of the best bands you've probably never heard...

Since I upgraded to my 7+ I've been using the stock ringtone. Although my phone is in vibrate most of the time so I don't care.

On all of my previous phones I'd use a song or two from the Snatch soundtrack. There's this one called Diamond that has an upright acoustic bass riff that works well as a ringtone.

Happens a lot when I attend training classes. :D

I startle easily on some of the stock ringtones...esp when it's quiet and I'm concentrating to whatever is occupying me.

Temper Trap - Sweet Diposition ringtone for me.

I switch between Elvis Costello singing "Allison," my name, and the Close Encounters theme, which is loud and high. Although for the last year+ since I've had an Apple watch, it's been on silent.

Back when I had a spouse I set their ringtone to the Imperial March from Star Wars. Friends and co-workers thought it was funny. I just thought it was the truth. :)

I have it set to different tones for different people:

Mother? Super villain fighting theme ;)
General? Right now it's the default because I forgot to change it after a restore.

Ringtone: The Munsters (old TV series theme song)
Text Tone: SFX: Communicator Beep (Star Trek TNG communicator chirp)

Pissed because every time I upgrade my iPhone I have to buy these damn things again whether or not I restore in iTunes/iCloud. I'm sure there's an official way but it isn't apparent. 1st world problems... lol.

Treo ringtone I ported from my Palm Treo 650 since 2008. It is so unique that nobody knows what it is and I always know that it's mine when it rings.

Just plug in your old phone and click on sync purchased content. Unplug and plug in new phone and click sync tones. They should appear under tones on your phone.

Better description.

I know mostly everyone makes ringtones with GarageBand but how does everyone get custom text tones? Buy them off of iTunes for $1.29?

Custom ringtones can be done w/iTunes...that's how I do it.

Google how...once you've done one, it's simple to do more.

What is your current ringtone and text tone?

I currently have some dbz tones but have been searching the tone section and not sure what to purchase. Just want to get an idea of what you guys are using.
My ringtone is the Codec sound from Metal Gear Solid. And my text alert is the "you've been discovered" noise from the same game.
