James Dean. Blue jeans and a white T. Or black. No logos.

Black framed or frameless glasses (I had the black framed jobs way before the current fad). Black Gap simple leather jacket from Salvo for $20.

I have black board shoes that are really comfy and look not so bad, but a pair of comfy chunky-tread combat boots that I wear that also look cool.

I also have been gifted with pretty easy going hair, so sometimes it gets parted on different sides, sometimes I stand it up (the basic cut is like the Rocketeer... I know...). The right hair putty makes all the different.

...in short: boooorrrrrring!

Where I really shine is when I wear nice clothes; I have a ton of really gaudy but lovely ties, a cashmere executive coat (also from Salvo. It was like $1000 brand new and I paid $6 at Salvo). Plus the European-cut jacket and pants. You can't ignore a power tie on a white shirt with a black wool suit that fits. That's timeless.

Now I want to see photos ;)

For me, my wardrobe is full of J.Crew and Banana Rebuplic. Ludlow suit. A Few Penguin and Ben Sherman shirts, and one Descendent of Thieves. Three hats (all stingy brim, two straw, one cotton; Fedora, Pork Pie, another Fedora with a higher crown), Dolabany "Heritage" frames in olive streak (my glasses). Have a small collection of analog watches, cufflinks, and aTiffany Atlas ring. (my ex was a Tiffany Store director, so all the cufflinks and two watches plus the ring are TCO). Levi's jeans, slender cut, a few pairs of chinos, slender cut, some leather belts (mostly black, one brown) from Eddie Bauer, Banana Republic, Ben Sherman. Black leather ankle boots which I love from Banana, and a pair of Oxfords (BR) also. Two pairs of Clarks ( both brown ) one a oxford and one very casual. All shoes are lace ups. Two pairs of New Balance sneakers exclusive to J.Crew in two different styles, Two pairs of Flip Flops. Most of my outerwear from JC: Pea Coat, University Coat, Cashmere blend Mayfair Coat....well gives you the gist of it.

For some irrational reason I cannot wait until this fad of insanely tight clothing burns in the bits of hypothetical hell!

They are uncomfortable and claustrophobic.

Yes, everyone, irrational because I dislike even seeing it. Yes, I would rather have the baggy 90s back. (however that could be extreme the other way)
The skinny style sucks, so annoying. All these slim fit shirts and bone tight nut hugging jeans, just watch them walk, no way their comfortable with their package crushed up like it was in a trash compactor lol. I'm not even a big or tall guy and I can't even fit in that crap, so hard to find nice jeans that fit today and I'm in shape and go to the gym 4x a week and run 1-2x a week. There all made for guys who are 6ft3 and weigh about 120lbs soaking wet.

Slim fit shirts and suits, I love them. They complement your body (if you have the appropriate body), and slim/slender jeans just look hot on the right guy.

Me? I hate baggy. You might as well wear a trash bag.

Good skinny jeans give you plenty of room downstairs lol. I'm pretty slim and in shape and I like the skinny style very much and my wife is the same. In my teens and uni days I was into skateboarding and embraced baggy jeans and Emerica and Element hoodies usually but I'm 32 now and the student look had to go. It wouldn't look professional with my job either, but was cool back in the day :)

I'm laughing, reading your post. Anyway, broadly speaking, I agree with you.

Personally, I dislike this fashion, because while I like to look professional and well, I also like to be able to wear my clothes in comfort.

The other issue with this particular fashion 'look 's that for both males and females, if you are not already slim (and I am not) this is not a look which will flatter you in the slightest.

Yes, even though it just does not look right regardless slim people can get away with it MUCH easier then anyone of a larger size. Even if I wanted to torture myelf with such an evil incarnation of clothing it would look horrible.

I cannot imagine how they are remotely comfortable and peoples idea of enough room must differ greatly.

Yeah... except no. :p

A million and one people - random strangers, even - tell I look like the guy who played Hamlet in 2009 on British TV; I don't see it but there it is... So imagine an shorter American version of him in a black suit.

NOTHING like Brad Pitt or George Clooney, dammit. :(

I hate tight skinny things - pants and around the shoulders especially. You can have room to move without looking sloppy. I see girls in tight jeans and I can't help but wonder HOW they feel comfortable or think they're not slutly.

I should rephrase, I'm talking more of the super skinny tight crap like if I moved my arm a certain way my bicep would bust through the shirt or god forbid I go to hug someone and rip it in half lol. Or with all the skinny jeans I tried I couldn't even walk and package was jammed up :D . Big difference between that and the nice relaxed/comfortable fitted stuff, gotta have some breathing room and far from baggy. I don't even like True Religions anymore, their made for guys that either have no muscle or build and no butts like their back is part of their a$$ lol. I still have two pairs from years ago. All these stores are making stuff for guys that are 6ft+ and weigh 120lbs wet.
