I'd say you're likely to see me in something from Banana Republic or Express. I usually dress pretty nicely, in pants and a long sleeve button-up shirt. I guess my time in France modified my habits. ;)

Knock on door at Home: Caribbean slacks or jeans, Sette Ponti or Crazy Horse T-shirts on warm days, J. Ferrar or Island Republic sweaters on cold days, and Rockports.

Knock on door at Work: I'm a suit.....and I'd rather take a whoopin' than to have to put them on.

Low hanging jeans,
t-shirt with funny text (example: Hairy Pornstar in the font of Harry Potter), hooded sweather,
Osiris shoes
and always a backpack... :)

Jeans and a t-shirt are my 'civvies' – my feet are either shod in a pair of Doc Martens boots, or a pair of plimmies if it's a bit on the warmer side. I tend to wear darker colours, too – I look a bit odd if I've got too much bright stuff on.

For shirts usually sport a polo collar not "popped" and semi-tightly to snugly fitting from American Eagle (though I have one for H&M), collared shirt (from H&M or sometimes Gap), or a tee shirt i generally bought online from a store like bustedtees.com.

For bottoms i am almost always in tightish jeans (not hard to get into or too exposing, just ones more tapered and "slim fitting").

With footwear I have two options: when it is cool I wear sneakers (black adidas sambas or Brown Asics Onizuka Tigers). When it basically 50 and above i'll usually throw on my pair of leather flip flops from AE.

That's about it. I guess I could add that I wear glasses :p

During the summer my shirt and pants/shorts selections very greatly. During the winter months though I'm almost always in a button down shirt and jeans.

However, no matter what the weather outside is I'm always wearing a pair of flipflops, or birkenstocks.

wife beater + jeans/shorts, a light-weight jacket w/ hoodie or a causal sports coat if it get a little chilly.

Winter = Jeans & Sweatshirt or Jacket.

Summer = Jeans or Shorts & T-Shirt (or sometimes a button-down, collared shirt if the occasion calls for it).

...and always a shoe of some type: never sandals/flipflops.

What's that? In the UK, that's slang for Stella Artois — the beer.

It's a male tank top

Slang for what you'd see a far drunk guy who hits his wife and lays on the couch when he's not beating her, weaing.

I've got some Levi's that I think might be older than some of the members here.

At home: New Balance 991's, T-shirt or sport jersey, the aforementioned Levi's. Summer brings out the cargo type shorts.

On the job: pretty much the same thing. My place of biz is pretty informal. Some of the old timers who have been there since the 60's and 70's still do the "white shirt and tie every day" thing though. Alas, their numbers are dwindling a little more each year. Time always wins.

These days:

I'm generally seen in a pair of vans, 38" leg long tall sally jeans, black tshirt/black medium cut top and a half denim black jacket.

...If I knocked on your door at any time during the day, would you be most likely to be wearing?...

I have a shocking wardrobe, so all I can guarantee I'll be wearing is a welcoming smile. Good timing btw as I was going to post a wardrobe related thread this evening too.

In the summer, black or white spaghetti strap dresses from Banana Republic and a sweater (a/c is freezing); in the winter, jeans and either a T, camisole and shirt, and hoodie (mostly my Emily Strange black one, or assorted grey ones).

Glasses and pins/badges

You will never see me wearing jeans. Haven't since elementary school.

Usually I wear a t-shirt and those zip-off pants/shorts combo. My shirts comprise of independent/local bands, disney, themed design, etc.

I do wear some nice dressy shirts and pants once and a while

My signature thing to have on are pins or badges as a friend calls them. They are mostly on my backpack/messenanger bags and on my light black jacket and Sasquatch track jacket.

Knock on my door and find me in "My Uniform" -
Button down shirt that's not buttoned well
Jeans or ruffled slacks
Sometimes shoes and socks
Confused look on face
Copy of an old Irvine Welsh novel in my hand

Also a fan of Andrea Zittel's take on uniforms. Even Better Zittel - link

in the summer when im not in school i teach jujitsu, so i wear a gi which is a jujitsu uniform. sometimes i add 10 lbs of sweat to the uniform. i know, what a tasty image...
when i was playing judo competitively i used to go through gi's every other year. the uniform is one of the best ways to choke your opponent, by pulling it tight over an exposed neck. at the very least, you will give your opponent a nasty red mark on the neck.
