Speaking of uniforms, we all know here that Steve Jobs also has a uniform...

...but here's your chance to change all of that.

Have fun. :)

Wed-Thur: T-shirt, jeans, boxers, steel toe boots, hard hat, tool belt, safety harness, socks, safety glasses, earplugs, sometimes gloves if we're doing steel

Mon & Tues: Shorts, tshirt, flipflops

I laughed ridiculously loud when I tried to change Steve's shirt, and saw what was beneath his mock turtleneck.

As far as my uniform, I have two:

Work:
Suit and tie.
Watch.

Home/Hanging out
American Apparel 2001 - Black 75% of the time.
Levi 527 jeans, super dark denim.
Some pair of Pumas.
Watch.

Black jeans, black tee shirt 95% of the time. Every now and then I might throw a grey shirt on instead. When I go to the beach I leave the black at home.

Well lets see... When I'm not at work I'm usually found in shorts and a tee shirt, unless I'm going out somewhere. Then I'll throw a shirt over a white tee. Flip flops, my Merrells, or my Docs depending. Sometimes even my hiking boots if I'm gonna be on a trail all day.

For work it varies drastically depending. Slacks, shoes, shirt, tie, jacket -- the whole nine yards if I'm meeting with a client or potential client. Jeans and a halfway decent shirt and Docs or Merrells if I'm going to be walking a job site with a Contractor. I learned the hard way not to wear black slacks to a job site.

I used to be a "jeans and tee shirt" kind of guy pretty much exclusively, but the wife has encouraged me to expand my wardrobe, and work has required some nicer dress. I guess I don't really have a "uniform" anymore.

I think it was almost ten years ago that I coined the phrase "The Uniform" to denote the standard male business casual dress of light blue oxford shirt and tan khakis. (See the Steve Ballmer videos for the most appalling example thereof.)

Me? Well, I try to change it up a lot. However, my go-to casual mode of dress is:

Baby blue t-shirt, either a plain l/s or s/s with interesting print
Dark blue jeans
Black suede Adidas Gazelles or brown casual shoes (Kenneth Cole Reaction or Unlisted, usually)

For the dress casual look:
Nice dress shirt or v-neck sweater, either a good solid color or interesting striped pattern
Grey slacks
Black dress shoes

I used to just wear black, black, and more black. Now I typically reserve the black for my jacket, shoes, or occasional t-shirt. Wouldn't mind finding a good pair of black jeans again, or some slim-fitting black trousers.

My feelings on jeans are conflicted: I love how comfortable and versatile they are, but it drives me nuts when I go out and notice that everyone else is wearing blue jeans as well! Seeing row upon row of semi-faded blue legs on the bus is kind of... depressing, actually.

I have to wear a grey security shirt with a big logo emblazoning the arm, security badge, security-logo-emblazoned belt, and black baggy cargo pants (technical pants), and then black shoes. I'm supposed to wear black combat boots, but that's retarded. I just wear some comfortable Borns. But that's M-F.

SHOES:
Summer - Reef flip-flops (thongs). These have a bottle opener built into the sole, very handy for parties.

Winter - Something like this from Lowa

Some form of non-denim shorts and either a t-shirt or short sleeve button down shirt.

What is RTFM?

RTFM is not having to say you are sorry. RTFM is a big chromatic dragon with bloodshot beady eyes and fangs the size of oars. RTFM is me screaming at you as fireballs come out of my mouth to get off your precious no-good tush, march down to the local bookstore or MAN page repository, and get the eff off my back because I'm trying very hard to get some freakin' work done. Jeez.

I live in this basically:

I live in tight black Levis, or blue Levis. But jeans have to be Levis.

An Aussie bogan icon, black desert boots. Or D.B's are they are more boganally known.

jackets-01JO_figure.JPG

Black bomber jacket.

And a black metal shirt. Normally either Metallica or Pantera.

I like black.

My clothes revolve around Hollister shorts, Banana Republic T-Shirts (plain white, plain black, or a dark gray), adidas socks, and pumas

wow, as embarrassing as it might be, i'm going to publically admit that my favorite (and most heavily worn) uniform has got to be..........

........... JAMMIES!!

I also own a metal shirt. I want a MoP shirt though.
Ever noticed that metal shirts have to be black?

lol!

I have been wearing the exact same thing since 8th grade and i am now a freshman in college. khakis with these solid colored shirts i bought 5 years ago. it's kind of sad, but i really dont give a damn. i just wear a different color everyday. hahaha.

A short sleeve button down with generic Asian Characters on them, Black jeans (some times blue) and my ratty shoes. (have to wear building shoes at work so I never care about shoes).

In the winter you can find me rocking that look with a hoodie thrown over it.

Usually...

Fresh white valleys and pink tube socks
Tight gray Levi's and shirts with polka dots
Rolex watch but it's fake
Gold gazelle glasses and a platinum chain
But it's fake...

Mickey Avalon anyone?

But really usually something like this in the summer:
