I use daily on my apple watch.
I get notifications daily on my Apple Watch as does everybody else who uses WhatsApp, but there's no native app yet which means we can't reply from the watch. The notifications are nice but we are long overdue for the full app

Whatsapp has end to end encryption as well for the past 18 months

I was excited to hear that WhatsApp has end-to-end encryption, until I googled it, and it looks like the Android app does, but the iOS app does not. I also looked at all the app update comments in the app store, and there was nothing about security improvements.

This was another article that gave the very poor security history of WhatsApp, before the incomplete addition of end-to-end encryption:

Also if you notice it comes down to since facebook bought them. did facebook eat your lunch?

No, but they will sell my life details to everyone who is going to pay for it and I wouldn't like that. Also, its always good to have competition.

My iPhone is on standby mode with wifi switched on but in the whatsapp web (safari) write that there isn't connection.

Why the hate for Whatsapp? It's fast, easy to use and very widespread. What do you miss or which feature isn't built into it, that so many people here act like it's an unusable mess? Apart from security reasons (but even there whatsapp did a lot of things in the past) I can't see the problem.
  • Telegram has always been insanely fast. When I was trying to get people to download it, I'd laud its speed and show them. On my computer, I'd type a message. On my iPhone, I'd just open Telegram to the same chat. Computer on WIFI. iPhone on 3G/4G. Then I'd hit send on the computer. The message appears in what feels like 0.1 seconds later. Same with images, videos, anything you throw at it... the sync is instantaneous.
  • Clients on everything. This was THE reason I fell in love with Telegram. Like so many people, I'm forced to use Windows at work. And I really love messaging from a computer as opposed to my iPhone for obvious reasons. So iMessage: out. Whatsapp, until this week, was out. All other messengers I was aware of were also out. But Telegram? Clients for Windows, OS X, Android, iOS, Linux, web, even (!) Windows Phone. I could install Telegram for Windows on my work laptop and off I went. At another laptop? Web version. I never had sync issues. Ever.
  • It's crazily actively developed. They're pushing updates all the time. Like just Friday morning, bringing yet another awesome feature Whatsapp doesn't have: https://telegram.org/blog/shared-links
  • There's also an integrated image/GIF search when sending messages which is lots of fun :)
  • Telegram also has a "real" Apple Watch app unlike Whatsapp. I guess that's a question of time but yet another win in terms of development responsiveness and speed for Telegram.
  • Tons of other little details that Telegram simply does better/faster than Telegram.
  • Telegram is free. Whatsapp's price is negligible, sure, but there still is a difference.
In case you're wondering... no I don't work for Telegram but sometimes wish I did.

Just a big fan. I'm very excitable about many things in life, and software is one of the big topics I can get excited about. I could write similar posts about 1Password, Reeder, Feedbin, Plex, etc.
Sue me.

Maybe a little out of topic, but do you think this bug is worth to have a look from Apple? Support says that this is a Whatsapp problem, judge for yourself:
