The reviewer has a lot insights on why the watch promotes pro social behavior.

When you check your watch, you don't have to disengage from moments. It's a quick glance. You don't interact with the watch for more than a minute.

Whereas if you pull out your phone, you're likely to check a myriad of other things, and we do this 100x a day with our phones.

The watch will help delete this reflex behavior. Not only that, it's much less work physically to check the watch 100x a day than an 8 plus, for example.
 
Hey anyone sporting the Gold stainless steel series 4 how is the finish holding up it's not wearing off like some of these Gold plated stainless steel ones that i had in the past? thinking of upgrading from my 42mm white ceramic edition series 3 your input would be most helpful.thanks

It better not wear off! I've bought one but haven't received it yet. It is stainless steel gold after all.
