Hmm...we'll see. There is a cut in the video after the iPad is restarted and before Cydia is launched. Also, he says he is going to show how to do the jailbreak, but the video ends.

fake video. start at 1:28, the Cydia "about" information pops up before he even touches it. There are other examples of the touches and video being a bit "off" especially when he's showing Installous.

I am still on 4.3 as I have been waiting for news on a JB. I have a problem with an app and the developer tells me I need to upgrade to 4.3.1. What version should I upgrade to? Should I go to 4.3.3, or should I just go for 4.3.1?

Its not about staying on a firmware so much as the ipad isn't carrier locked.
Its more about backing up your shsh blobs with tiny umbrella.
If you didn't run tiny umbrella each time a new update came out you won't have the blobs for each version so your only option is to upgrade to the latest.

You can get the blobs with tiny umbrella without having to up date the ipad.

Tiny Umbrella is on my list of thing to do! But are you saying that now, I can't run it even on 4.3? After all, how does the iPad know that a later release is out?

I have looked up the FAQ and it makes a bit more sense.. But I am still confused as to how this whole "shsh" thing works.. I assume now I can upgrade to 4.3.2 (from 4.3.0). Can I still use TinyUmbrella to backup my SHSH in that release?

If not, what are you suggesting. I go to 4.3.3. now and use Tiny Umbrella straight away? If so, what then? Do I keep doing this as every update comes out?

To clarify it once again. I don't have an iPad2 Jailbreak, I don't even have an iPad2. I just have problems with the ELEVATOR in my home.

Are all those fake iPad 2 jailbreaks actually distributing malware?Or are they just trying to sell imaginary products?Or what is their gain?

Yeh, this thing ain't coming until Iphone 5 hits.

Ionic still doesn't have an ipad2, and Geohot still doesn't have one.

It's clearly not a priority. So hang on tight, enjoy your stock Ipad 2 (it's a great device even without the jailbreak) and wait for the fun in a few months.

If you didn't run tiny umbrella to get the blobs each time its too late to get 4.3.1 blob so your only option its to upgrade to 4.3.3 as that will be the only blob you can get currently and also what apple will authorise when you try to upgrade.

If you had saved the blobs then you could upgrade to 4.3.1/2 etc as itunes would be able to look to tiny umbrella for the blob/authorisation.

Hmmm look like we have to come up with the money for the jb now...

Again donation is one of the best way. But if he looking to sell jb, i hate to say it there's alway be pirate jb software.

By the sound of it, I0n1c and the team have successfully jb the ipad2, but i think they are working on how to GUI the jb software into paid version.

Hopefully we will see jb sooner. Next couple weeks?

Some sites are reporting that 01...ninja guy videod that the jb may be out in a couple of weeks. Is this new, or what some people are already talking about?

Have anyone actually read his post on twitter? (i am not fan of twitter)

I think the ELEVATOR gained me 300 new followers. Imagine if I had tweeted about the LADDER i am just looking at.

Now go to the corner and cry too :p

I think @Veeence saying that i0n1c'ss exploit will probably hit before Comex's was a dead giveaway that they were messing around. Comex has said he isn't working on an iPad 2 Jailbreak. Regardless, whatever... all in good fun, I'm sure they know how bad everyone wants it, and when it's ready, it will be ready.

I have a feeling that it's coming...

@thegrugq Indeed Monday is no funday. ELEVATOR still does not work correctly. Had to use the STAIRS once again.

It seems the ELEVATOR will be broken at least another week.

Done I think. Who knows, stupid ionic won't just come out and say anything. Has to make everyone pry and guess at his redulious tweets.

:D

he's talking about the elevator in his apartment... look at his other tweets.

"@applebreakde Der ELEVATOR in meinem Gebäude war über das Wocheende defekt und ich musste daher die STAIRS nehmen. Alles andere is Hysterie."

... "the elevator in my building was broken over the weekend and needed to take the stairs instead. everything else is hysteria."

no ipad2 jailbreak anytime soon.

At this point it is clear that the tweets from i0nic and the others are just to mess with desperate followers who want an iPad 2 jailbreak.

This is pretty sad at this point since this guy is supposedly a respected iDevice hacker. Of course, everyone knows that no one is entitled to anything, and they do this for free, but this is the first time I've seen these guys stoop to such juvenile tactics.

In the end, they're entitled to do what they want, and I'm sure they're tired of the thousands of tweets about "when is the jailbreak for ipad2 coming?" but the whole thing is just becoming pathetic at this point.
