iPad When is the iPad 2 jailbreak coming out?

Yeah like the first one, but 4.2.1 was released in november 2010.

While 4.3.3 was released in may 2011.

Like I said I might be wrong I dont have an iphone to jailbreak so can't test, also no Ipad1

I wish that i'm wrong but i'm pessimist about this
 
I'm pretty sure cmwdotme's jb iPad 2 is legit. He's associated with the dev team in some way. Some of the major iPhone hackers (comex, musclenerd, p0sixninja, chpwn) follow him on twitter. He's not a troll.
 
Besides I think there is more reasons to find cmwdotme's jailbreak legit then fake.

Now if the jailbreak is released today or next week or next month that's a whole different story.

Let's hope for a public release by Sunday

Yeah he is followed by them all plus many many others so it does look legit..now when will be OUR turn..? it seems like everything is going according to plan just want the darn thing released already :(

If it does get released it'll be tonight when most people are off work so his server goes down from people doing the jailbreak.

Or Sunday to stick with the "Funday" thing.

No, actually I was getting the lock screen on my iPad2.
It had a /star extension. I removed it and now back to the snow PDF shot.

So I've seen both today fwiw. :eek:
 
Even though I am starting to think the jb won't be here until iOS5 comes out, I will still jailbreak. My iPad just doesn't like being in Apple's prison, though.

All I can find, for iPad, in terms of widgets are Smartscreen, and a 'layer / overlay' like on OS X. Is there any apps that lets widgets be 'mixed' with app icons in the springboard - like Honeycomb.

I dont have an iPhone my self, my work provides me with new phones all the time. Currently I have an Xperia Play. But my G/F has an iPhone which I often browse trough Cydia, and I had en iPhone 3G when that was new, and I used Cydia multiple times a week.

Allthough, I come to mind the Clock Icon Enhancer (dont know the exact name), which gives you a live clock over your clock icon. And you have one for weather too.

Then if you have a Jailbroken iOS 5 device, (I have iPad 2 with iOS 5, so no jailbreak for me.) You can add Widgets to the notification center.

My point being, Have interactive widgets in the Notification Center, and informational widgets (twitter or newsfeed, or other) on the lockscreen. I think most people would be set.

yeah, I'd love to fix unionfs but if I can't fix all my issues with it by tomorrow, it's cut

Great news, looks like if he cant fix it he will release it..I mean really, we can all deal with a jailbreak that takes a min or two to load who cares as long as it works

Does anyone even know what he means when he says unionfs?
 
unionfs refers to the way he is going to implement file system changes. In this case it means that files will not be moved around creating a faster jailbreak and more efficient space / cpu wise.
 
It would also make cydia blaze. As far as I know it means that cydia wouldnt be on that screen that refreshes the files every friggin time you use it, it would function more like the actual app store. Anyways, comex is going to cut the feature if he cant fix it by tomorrow, meaning we're getting a jailbreak REALLY soon, unionfs or no unionfs Im still extremley thrilled.

oh man setting up my svn with dropbox to back my blobs up, this is too exciting. We've been waiting for this JB forever :D

So basically if he cant fix it it Cydia will be just like it is now when you jailbreak..it loads, does that reloading apps thing that it does when you first jailbreak, then everything runs fine ?

yep, the only thing he's trying to do right now is move things forward in speed. If he released his JB now, everything would just be like it has been.
