iPad When is the iPad 2 jailbreak coming out?

I agree..as much as I appreciate ALL of his work his last tweet was from three days ago, he hasnt posted anything since..at least post something, anything and tell us all how the progress of this jailbreak is going
He has no obligation to do so, and he also is not obligated to releasing the jailbreak. Providing updates can cause a inferior jailbreak to be released or even burn an exploit. His exploit he is using is already known by apple. Who is to say the one from Chronic Dev Team is the same exploit? What happens if they jump the gun and burn a new exploit? You will be sitting here when ios 5 is released to the public begging for that jailbreak. The fact that he is quiet right now suggests that he is close to releasing - He is not the only one being quiet the rest of the iPhone Dev Team is also being quiet. Everyone needs to quit taking what veeence says as the word from god. He has said four times in the past two weeks that comex was going to release on x day. That day came and passed now look.
Of course he doesnt owe us anything..he never did..but he said he was going to do it, no one forced him to say that..If I promised to make a jailbreak and then didnt do it everyone would be pissed off at me if I bailed on it
the point is the useless teaser, the subtle hints etc. It's annoying simply say it will either be released on x day or it will be released in the fall, winter, spring or whatever or say whenever the hell you feel like it, fine, Then everyone can shut the freak up already and not have to be in suspense, it's annoying and seriously pointless because you draw more attention by people constantly bugging you. to each his own i guess.

I understand it's a process but maybe I'm not normal? i just don't see what's the point in dropping hints and teasers? maybe you could explain it more for me, because i see it as being extremely pointless. Either you have it and are going to drop it or you don't. Whether that's weeks or months from now then whatever I personally don't care, just trying to figure out why hints and teasers are so cool to people like you.

He's working on it he thought it would be ready by now but has ran into a problem or 2. Apple misses release dates all the time they have a lot more people working on their products yet you can't understand how comex can run. Into problems?
Yes, he did say he was having problems. Part of it was that unionfs, but on the 22nd, he was saying he was getting all sorts of bugs.
Despite being a little disappointed that I got caught up in the anticipation and let my being impatient about the jb rule me, I still am VERY happy with my iPad2! I haven't regretted buying it, not even once.
I could say I hope next Sunday is Funday because of the four day weekend I have, but I don't wanna jinx things.
I'm with ih8sn0w now. I'm happy that Comex gave an update, but I don't want to hear any kind of ETA. I don't want to get my hopes up. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised it I checked jailbreakme.com VERY often on Monday.
This is the step we were stuck at with JailbreakMe 2.0. Comex was waiting on saurik to provide the bootstrap so the jailbreak could be released. I don't remember how long the wait was before that happened. I do know that the jailbreak was released the same day saurik finally came through.
Saurik got the bootstrap to him within the 24 hrs he requested it. Comex never asked anybody for a bootstrap either, maybe he has it, but is working out the kinks?
