I'm glad i got mine in April just gone, with the updates plus the increase in prices net year in the uk it's going to be rather expensive I think

I hope not, I'm waiting to get my first Mac and I want a MBP. I was hoping to get one by the end of this mnth but it looks like I'll hold that little bit longer now.
 
How are people forgetting how long it took Apple to do the Core i update? It seemed like they went way past the normal update window and then some... it won't be on 10/20 unless the 13 gets an I3
 
By the way, that image I posted below was nothing more than an artistic rendition (a poor one at that) of what I would like to specs to look like. Faster i7 processors (Sandy Bridge) with RAM capacity of 16GB (8GB modules) of 1333MHz RAM. We will be running 10.6.5 by then, no doubt.

how long does it take from media event to the apple store? I want to buy the new MBP spec (if there is one) asap after seeing it at the media event.
