You have to realize one thing: Apple is trying to make as much money as possible.

By NOT making a bigger iPhone, they are losing potential customers.

I can guarantee next year we will have a bigger iPhone and all the people crying that they don't want one will have to settle for a poverty screen in the 6C.

Or.. "I did a 180. Now that apple released a bigger phone, I want it. Before only androids had bigger phones but I'm obsessed with apple so they can do no wrong. If they tell me to buy a bigger phone I will!!!!!1111!!1!1!1!1!!!!"

Not in the least. Apple sells millions upon millions each year and they don't listen to fanatics on some forum either if you haven't noticed

Sure. That argument could be made for any option and for any company. "By not making X, Y is losing potential customers". That's always a problem. What you're missing are the numbers and whether they're significant enough to warrant a change. How many customers are they losing? You seem to be assuming that it's significant because it's significant to you. Provide some hard numbers. How many customers? How much are the losses?

'Poverty"? Screen size is a preference, not socio-economic status.

With all due respect, it's a portable computer. Sure, it makes phone calls... but I look around at the younger generation today and the amount of time they spend with their smartphone pressed to their ear is pretty small compared to the amount of time they spend gazing at it.

Whether windshield-mounted as a GPS or used to game and watch videos, a little larger real-estate without killing portability would be an improvement (Not an "innovation", just an improvement).

I agree with other posters that a smaller bezel is part of the answer. But I also think that Apple may offer a 4" and a larger 4.7" phone next year. If they do, and the specs are otherwise the same, I would venture to guess that the 4.7" version will outsell the 4" version handily.

Here is hard numbers and information for you.

I have no problem with Apple making a bigger phone as long as they continue to make the smaller ones. And by that I mean new smaller ones, not just carrying on selling old small iPhones.

I am not one for larger phone sizes because it puts a LOT of work on developers to work with different resolutions. Thats why the iPhone 5 was perfect because it didnt require any of that. We start making multiple sizes of phones and we are android...just my opinion.

On android it's not the screen sizes that makes it hard to optimize apps for the phones, it's the different processors and android versions.
