and it is more common here than Hondas.

Lol, ain't that the truth? I miss having an "exclusive" phone that you paid thru the nose for, but I suppose being materialistic like that isn't healthy anyhow. Mostly now, same as the op, people ask me if I have the "problems" they heard about with my iphone. Unfortunately I have to tell them that I certainly do, antenna, proximity sensor, no flash, and just a generally clunky aesthetic design. I see more and more Android devices out there though, I scored a Captivate for 90 bucks off CL and just put Froyo on it and am enjoying it quite a bit. If it wasn't for the lack of camera flash and the very nice vid camera on the ip4 I'd probably have switched a long time ago.

Usually people are like "Wow, that's an iPhone 4" now. They used to ask me about the signal issues, but I think most people have forgotten about it. Now most people ask if I've ever video chatted with someone. I'm in college and there are a lot of iPhone 4s (easily the most common phone), so I think that's why people don't really ask about signal issues anymore. If it was a problem, this many people wouldn't be using it. :D

What the hell is up with all these posts saying it's just a phone.

The iPhone is NOT just a phone. It's a way of life. :D

My friends (who are predominantly android users) gave me a lot of crap for keeping my ip4 (it was a gift). "Oh so you're that guy now, mr.trendy magoo)

But they were really just messing around. Then the questions of hey so how do you like the OS and what not start up.

They laugh their asses off when I tell them that I can't use my own sounds for notifications, nor can I stop the screen from broadcasting to everyone every time I get a text.

They get kind of quiet when I tell them about no error messages or freezes at all, ever.

Then we all come to conclusion that if there were a phone as pretty is iP4, as stable as iOS4, and with the control and customization of android, we'd all own it and love it.

As for straight up strangers, I live in Seattle, so no one is surprised by any kind of tech.

It's kind of funny.....I was an Apple hater for a long time, but was the first person at work to get an iPhone 4. Once people saw the display on it, 4 others followed suit and bought one. Others are still on the 3GS and even the 3G. We already have a Blackberry Torch user too.

I work at a software company, so I'm surrounded by uber geeks. The smartphone users among us are about half and half when it comes to iPhone vs. Android. I haven't heard anyone mention the antenna issue in a long time, but the Android users can be a special breed of bully sometimes. They can get overly in-your-face. I had a guy flat out yell at me one time (I'm not exaggerating) when I told him I had an iPhone. Just literally started screaming at me about what a dumb choice I made. I almost want to say Android users are the new iPhone users, at least in my little universe.

I don't know, I think Androids battery suckage problems are more of a deal breaker than the antenna problem. But the media doesn't really talk about that ;)

People usually ask me what kind of dog I am walking or what my favorite lens is or how many miles I run a week. iPhone comments, not so much...

When I have my phone out and people notice that it's an iPhone 4 and not just a regular iPhone... I get asked if I'm happy with it.

I get that the media coverage about the antenna was bad but has it really made it around to EVERYONE? I'm pretty sure it has because all the anti Apple people are telling everyone they know how they shouldn't get the i4.

Obvious circle Jerk is Obvious

its just a freaking Phone

Jerks will be jerks no matter what phone they have.... but if you're making generalizations between the two groups (iphone people and android people).... then its NOT the android people who refuse to **** about their stupid phone already.

I get asked about the screen and cameras. No one I know complains about signal issues. And I rather have my iPhone 4 than android... even though the Droid X is pretty legit.

Most people I know have either a 4 or 3GS. A few who don't have one have made comments along the lines of "I wish Verizon would sell the iPhone so I could get one." AT&T has the best coverage and quality in the area, so most smartphone people around me automatically moved to the iPhone a while ago.

Nobody asks me anything. It's been around long enough, and is popular enough, that's it not anything special if you're seen with one.

People don't ask/say anything to me. Because it's a cell phone.

It's not like we're carrying around alien technology in our pockets..

I voted "other" because I usually get something like..."Can I hold your iPhone." or "Can I play with your iPhone." I usually don't let people handle my iPhone because I feel like they might drop it and smash it. I'll gladly show people my iPhone but it's in my hands.

Everyone I meet is like 'wow is that the iPhone 4?? It's beautiful and the 'fittest' phone I've ever seen...I wish I have it....you luck b@%&*££' lol:D

Joking right, which part of London do you live?

personally I cant say Ive really noticed any unusual stares or looks.

Oh so they are looking at my iPhone 4? What a relief!
