I've had AT&T since 1998 (Bellsouth and Cingular previously) and am happy with it overall. I DO hope, however, that lots and lots of people switch because it'll only make AT&T better for those who stay. ;)

Nope. I've never had a problem with ATT, get excellent coverage and I'd rather not lose my unlimited data.

im with verizon right now and im actually gonna switch to at&t.

haha the OP said "When" the verizon iphone 4 comes out.

Hell yeah I'd switch in an instant. Right now I have a badass computer in my pocket. Would that I could use it to actually make phone calls!

I'll probably get the iPhone for Verizon. Had AT&T for years. They dropped a lot of my calls: in elevators, near elevators, in buildings, near buildings, on rural roads, on not-so-rural roads, almost everywhere. Switched to Verizon 1.5 years ago at the insistence of my fiancee-now-wife. Coverage is a lot better for where I live (Sacramento). Anxiously awaiting the iPhone for Verizon, but I might just get a Droid if Apple doesn't roll out the thing by February when my 2-yr contract is up and I have a chance to get a new phone for a discount. then again, maybe AT&T coverage has gotten better n the past 1.5 years?

And lose unlimited data??

Probably not. Not right away, at least.

+1
It's going to happen to Verizon before the iPhone gets there, I'm sure of it.

I like AT&T though. I think because I live in NYC my upload/download speeds on 3G aren't lighting fast. But it's pretty good compared to the other carriers here.

I'll stay on verizon because it's great where I am and where I travel. If AT&T was great where I was, i'd do that...but it's not so that works for me.

I won't. I hate Verizon's customer service... and that's saying a lot because AT&T's reception in LA is pretty embarrassing. I didn't realize just how bad it was until I recently took a trip up to the Seattle area where the coverage was fantastic and I had 3G speeds I didn't even know were possible even (and especially) in areas of low population and on the freeways between cities!?!?!

Maybe in 2 years when my contract is up we'll see how Verizon handles the LA congestion compared to AT&T, but less then stellar reviews won't convince me to go to Verizon again.

I'm from Seattle and when I took a trip down to San Fran, I had horrible AT&T reception in random neighborhoods. So, basically good thing I live in Seattle =P

Not moving.

I'd switch if, and only if it was an iPhone that supported 4G and 4G being in my area. But, I would also wait out my AT&T contract. Not worth the ETF for me.

Other than that, Verizon can shove off :)

AT&T is perfect in my area (Central Jersey), and I don't have any complaints (shocking right?).

According to this article:
http://gigaom.com/2010/05/17/exclusive-the-details-on-atts-bridge-to-lte/
Verizon's 3G speeds will drop once 4G begins rolling out, and I don't want my 3G slowed down, and Verizon won't be upgrading to EVDO Rev. B either.

I like AT&T's LTE plans, even though they're a bit behind. They're still upgrading their HSPA networks to HSPA+ so we get even faster 3G speeds, while also getting 4G, and I'm still not sure if the next iPhone will have 4G or not.

I'm fine with the speeds I get with my 3G, as I get 7.2Mbps when I tether my iPhone and download. So, I'm satisfied :)

I would rather go Phone less then go back to those Crooks, besides AT&T has treated me well, their service is as good as if not better in my area, and the iPhone is well just one of the best phones on the market, but IMO it is the best, if it wasn't why would everyone drool over it.

After years of holding out because of my preference for Verizon, I finally took the plunge<launch>. I've dropped more calls than I did in the several years I was with Verizon. If they come to Verizon, I'll be selling my phone to cover the early termination fees and switching back.

This.

Sticking with AT&T.

Verizon implements a CDMA standard that isn't compatible with the rest of the world (the true CDMA standard is where phones use R/UIM cards which are functionally identical to SIM cards in the GSM world.)

Once LTE comes out and completely replaces 3G, EDGE, GPRS, and GSM completely, and both AT&T and Verizon support this, even in rural areas, I might reconsider.

I have an ip4 and no I won't be switching to Verizon.

But I hope the rest of the world does! The more people off ATT's network, the better it will run for me. :D
