And I shouldn't because? If you and your neighbours ordered Google Fiber, with a 2019 promised date. Yet their houses are now all hooked-up and you still got the 2019 date, would you just sit there?
Of course not. I would go with a competitor. Would it be what I want? Probably not. Would I deal with what I can get? Sure, I wouldn't have any other choice. If I was to do more than that I would take it up with Google, and not an unaffiliated website.

I have some idea. I live in Hong Kong. 1 hour drive away from Shenzhen factories across the border. They can build the iPhone, pack it and deliver it to the apple stores here in less than 3 days.

If you thought an Apple watch takes more than a day to be built, I have bad news for you.
If you think the logistics are what you describe, I have bad news for you.

Keep in mind you are but a single order in a million. Given what you ordered, I think chances are higher that Apple seeks to build more units of another model than what you ordered. Does Apple make the one happy or the many?

Ordered and received confirmation email April 28th 10.04pm HKT.
Arrived at my door, May 2nd at 1.15pm. Only because May 1st is a holiday.

Good luck to you :)

So now that you got the one from last week, did you cancel the other watch?
Do you like the one you got?

This sounds rich. And what has Apple become, pray tell us.

please. check your attitude at the door. If someone really needs to point out to you how much has changed, please feel free to stop reading MSN news.

So now that you have the watch, you're calling me silly for being impatient?

Really? Don't recall using any names or adjectives negatively towards you, just trying to help you see the lighter side of things, but if you want to wallow in your anger thats no problem with me - I already have the damn thing.

And trust me, (here start the negative comments) your tail will be right back in between your legs once you get it. :apple::p:p

I would go with a competitor.

I choose Google Fiber as an exmaple for a good reason. There aren't that many Fiber providers out there, and say if Google was the only Fiber ISP in your address?

You mentioned this was a more popular model, production has not expedited, has it?

What I can tell you is that, when I received my iPhone 6, you could read when the phone was manufactured and tested, my iPhone was less than 4 days old. I understand you're in North America, where electronics are meant to be sitting in warehouses waiting to be delivered. But in Asia, we talk efficiency.

My guess is in the two weeks following 5/29 based on what apple told you.

Unless of course 29/5 really means 29 months from now on the 5th, so the timing could be wrong.

your tail will be right back in between your legs once you get it. :apple::p:p

My praise will come when I'm a Watch user. Until then, a detractor for Apple Store operations. :)

It was for my girlfriend. And yes, she loves it.
Which makes me more upset when she shows off the features.

I mean, you put down your credit card. I guess your 'praise' isn't worth much $$ is it? jk :p :apple:

Not trying to be negative man, and I hate to say this - but they've got you. By the balls.

There isn't another smartwatch you're going to get. At least quicker than your current order. :p

There isn't another phone, or computing platform, or ecosystem you will go to.

Just be patient, I KNOW you're not gonna settle for that small-ass 38 mil.

In my example, I didn't pick a fiber competitor. If Google is the only fiber and they say I can't have it til 2019 then obviously I'm not getting fiber. Their fiber, their rules. I don't have to like it, but there's very little I can do about it. Perhaps I could complain to them (as opposed to an Internet forum) and that might help, but realistically I should be prepared to wait until they are ready to deploy the fiber in my area.

See previous comment about "first run product of the first of it's kind for the manufacturer". By the time the iPhone 6 was released, Apple had a fairly definitive idea regarding the popularity of the device and thus the demand. When the original iPhone came out, it was different. Your analogy would work better if you were comparing the Watch release to the original iPhone release.

the original iPhone wasn't a global (select-country) launch.

After reading the example, you said "Of course not!" hearing your neighbors got connected before you, when you all have the same promised date. Implying you would be at least upset if you were in my shoes.

I certainly don't read MSN news or watch MSNBC news. Neither is an acceptable trustworthy news source.

But it sounds like you are implying something negative about them being a global giant in tech. Would you prefer that they were still a small niche company with a much smaller following. I doubt that they would be producing the Apple Watch or any of their other recent innovations if that was the case.

Just another child whining that they can't have something the minute they want it. If the delivery estimates were unacceptable, you shouldn't have ordered it.

These inane/crazy/ranting threads are the only thing keeping me going while I wait for my watch. This thread is particularly entertaining. Thank you.

I ordered today and I have to wait between 8-12 weeks! Even though I was aware of the estimated delivery timeframe, I'm still annoyed that my watch hasn't shipped in the 12 hours since I ordered.

When the **** will I receive MY damn watch?

Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter gibe or taunt."

If your carrier didn't have the 4G speeds you expected it, would you say okay, back to pagers!!

Love how you edited to add this couple of mins later, just in case :p

Glad you're having fun.

I find it humorous that most people declaring the launch a disaster are those that haven't actually received their watch. .

Because we ordered minutes into the pre order date. The launch is a disaster, I'm sitting here 2 weeks later and still dont have my device.

Failed launch is fail.

I was once told that British humour goes misunderstood unless given a caveat.

I have my watch, and Apple really screwed this up. Anytime a large number of your customers are upset, you screwed up. It does not matter if you believe their expectations are unreasonable.

Hmm.. do they teach you how to quote over there.

Can a mod close this thread already? It's useless.

A number of people are pretty upset regarding the delivery of the watch. I'd say it's somewhat useful, even just for venting.

You clearly don't, since MSN news is now a news gathering website. Their sources are somewhat reliable.

I understand, but there's literally around 20 threads you can go into that are simply for people complaining. Another one isn't useful.
