Hopefully this one targets how Apple failed to shift focus on making popular models.

umm...that's not what this proves. They may very well have shifted resources to make the most popular versions by now...but the most popular versions are most popular for the obvious reason that they are the most in demand. Demand is outstripping supply on these key watches, so once they adjusted the lines based on true orders, the least popular versions were already produced and ready to ship.
You may very well be right, that Apple screwed up and didn't set the lines properly...but the fact that the blue watch shipped much quicker than the sports grey doesn't prove anything.
This shouldn't have happened, they should have realized no one wanted blue and everyone wanted black in the first place.
They shouldn't have realized this on April 11 but many many months ago when Apple Watch was first revealed. A simple poll at Cupertino and NDA focus groups with prototypes could have solved this.
That being said, 2 weeks to notice one watch is way more in demand of others, start making that on most of your lines!!
