General When will Beta 3 arrive?

With OS 10.9.4 and iOS 7.1.2 released this week it's highly likely that some resources were diverted to those, causing the slighter longer probable three-week gap between iOS 8 betas 2 and 3.

Makes sense to me.

I don't remember there ever being a beta release the same week as a production one. I stand to be corrected though.
 
This is ridiculous. They better let something fly today. I can't develop anything when both OS crash constantly. How am I to test streaming apps when WiFi can't stay reliably connected?

Yea I was hoping to get something new today as well but it looks like the people in this thread are likely right. The resources likely went to 7.1.2 and 10.9.4

You still calling for today? Delays can happen and betas have certainly came out later in the day. Just wondering since you work for Apple.

I have a friend who works at Apple on the AV Framework, and you'd be fired for making a public announcement on their behalf. Of course since you're an Apple employee you already know this.

I would never openly admit anything like that. Was just having some fun. I was hoping for a release today as well. I'm right there with you all. :mad:

Beta 3 can't come quickly enough for me -- I've opened 38 bugs, of which 12 were closed (2 duplicates & 10 resolved). Of the remaining 26 bugs which are open, 6 are for 3rd party apps but 20 are for Apple issues (including a high number of core issues). That's the highest count I've had for a beta seed, including the iOS 6 and 7 betas.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't release for another week just due to the work at hand. iOS 7 certainly changed the outside of the OS the most, but I think iOS 8 changes the most internally -- Apple's really opened the gates for apps to communicate with areas of the OS that have always been locked down.

But they release them so that people don't have to test them during holidays. I'm not surprised that it didn't come out.

This made me laugh. You may not have heard this before so I'm going to say it.

IT'S A BETA! Apple not the same company? You're judging this on the fact you can't send a text when you're running a BETA version?

People like you pee me off.

I expect basic functions of a smartphone to operate in a beta released to developers that they have been working on over a year, yes.

And, again, feel free to keep your personal attack to yourself.

As a developer, I can say that this Beta is USELESS because I cannot properly test anything with the amount of issues/things broken.

So, stuff it.
