It’s evident from the comments section that Apple stock is more important to some people than the actual products and technology of Apple.
I get slightly annoyed when people often respond to complaints with "well, they are the most valued company so evidently you're wrong and hold a minority opinion". Personally I would prefer a hungry Apple worth one tenth as much with far better products. Them having the success they've had is not a factor in the opinions I hold of them.

To be absolutely fair to Cook, Jobs was an anomaly and it’s absolutely understandable he didn’t try to do the same thing
Yeah, someone like Jobs(as entreprenurial, design obsessed and intuitive) only appears once a century at most.

(And no, I don’t think the Apple Vision Pro is a mistake)
I see it as a stepping stone to Apple Glasses, which I think will be very revolutionary once Apple nails that product line.

Apple design was arguably at its peak when the company was struggling to stay afloat so yeah

I also don’t know why these people think “well they’re making bank under Tim Cook” is such a gotcha, it’s not like you get to see any of that money and a lot of it comes from squeezing service revenue out of you so what are you that excited about? 🤷‍♂️

Apple for example shaving off ports from their devices and no longer providing a remote with each Macbook sure makes them more money, but it also makes me as a customer less enthralled with what I buy.

Also, imagine the same people defending and praising Microsoft's products due to their value. "You claim that their products are ugly and unoptimized, but a lot of people use them and the company is worth a lot of money!"

Like...how do you even begin to respond to that logic?

That Apple is long gone, never to return. They’re a mature company, not a hungry startup. Far better products? Who are the hungry companies producing these far better products today? There aren’t any. Your need to be WOWed by every product release is your problem, not Apple’s. Apple’s products are industry leading by virtually every metric and consumers obviously love them or it wouldn’t be one record quarter after another.

Windows 11 has about ten times more users than MacOS, so clearly it's ten times better based on that metric.
And Apple has 2.5B active devices. That's one device for (roughly) every three people on Earth. What's your point?

You complainers are all the same. You whine and complain but offer absolutely no constructive commentary. And, in the end, no one at Apple or anywhere else cares what you think. Your opinions don't move the needle one bit. And why should they? Apple can barely keep up with the demand for its buggy inferior products. If only they'd listen to you! Surely they'd sell so many more devices! /s

Keep shouting into the void. Keep hating Cook. You won't like the next CEO any better, I guarantee that.

Best CEO of all time.

Not trolling.
Steve Was the best CEO Apple ever had. But, Tim has done a great job in my opinion in leading Apple forward. I like Tim Cook, he's a good CEO. He's helped Apple become more profitable so that says a lot about him and why he has stuck around for so long as CEO. Though these are just my own opinions. Not facts. Before Steve and Tim, Apple changed leadership because of chaos in the company, Tim said this recently in an interview with CBS here in the States. Before Tim the company never had a stable change in leadership. So, whomever they pick if Tim is really getting ready to leave I hope is a great choice. I want to see Apple continue to make great products because I truly love their products as a consumer. I don't know Ternus very well, so, I hope he will be a great pick for CEO if that's who Tim and Apples board is choosing for CEO. But, we will see all in good time.

This is definitely the problem with aging Apple fanboys - they're hooked on dopamine hits from the past, shiny new toys, but there is only so many ways any company could innovate, especially nowadays. They want an innovation™, but have no clue which exactly if you ask them. They just need their shot.
